Some people want what your light gives them.
The right people will also want to know who you are.🙏☮️🌎💜
Dee’s Diary 📖
I'm a very shy Soul.🙏
I'm not a content creator, I'm not particularly tech-savvy, I am dyslexic, I type with one finger on my phone that I don't know how to use, I don't receive notifications, I don't scroll and I didn't start sharing online because I wanted attention.
I started sharing because I know what it feels like to be the Soul drowning in the deep, looking for a life preserver. 🛟
I've spent much of my life searching for ways to help my body and Soul find their way back to peace.
Since the 1980s, I've been building what I now call my lifesaving Autophagy Lifestyle Medicine Toolbox—the natural practices I've used to support my own health without relying on prescription medications whenever I could safely find another way.
Two years ago, when I became desperately ill and wasn't getting the answers I needed, those tools became more important than ever.
This is how DBM-5™ was born.
I'm sharing my story vulnerably and imperfectly because somewhere out there is a Soul who needs to know: You are not alone.💜
Because September is Su***de Prevention Month, I'm here for another reason too.
I've learned that sometimes the person who wants to die isn't necessarily longing for life to end—they are desperate for the suffering to end.
Sometimes we were never taught how to self-soothe as adults, which then leads to alcohol, addictions and eating disorders.
I lived with anorexia for 50 years, abused alcohol for 30 years to help self-soothe for sleep and turned to many other addictions just to cope with living in survival mode since I was born.
As a health nut and primal personal trainer who tried so hard to be a good girl, this carried a heavy burden of shame.
That shame held me captive until I finally released the secrets that kept me sick and stuck on November 21, 2017—the day I began my addiction peace journey.
Sometimes we have been living in survival mode for so long that stillness feels impossible.
Sometimes we simply need someone to say:
You are safe.
You are safe.
You are safe.
If you're feeling stressed today, try a soft hum to stimulate your vagus nerve.
Come back to your breath.
Come back to your body.
Come back to this moment.
It's not mental. It's environmental.🌿
Throughout September for Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, I’ll be sharing a daily Dee’s Diary series on the YouTube Community tab.
If you know someone who feels like they’re drowning, you’re welcome to follow along.
No pressure and no need to comment—just a quiet place to come, listen, reflect and find a life preserver when you need one.

May you find peace within thee,
May you heal with natural ease,
And rest in biological stillness—
Settling like a gentle breeze. 🙏
