We’re heading to the table.

CCRNR has agreed to meet with CNSA in October to discuss the upcoming NCLEX-RN fee increase and the concerns of nursing students across Canada.

It has now been one week since CNSA sent our letter to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), and we are still awaiting a response.

We’ll continue pushing for transparency, meaningful student representation, and a stronger student voice in decisions that affect our path into practice.

Keep sharing. Keep talking. Keep advocating.

Together, one voice, one community, one seat at the table.

Share it. Repost it. Put it on your story. Show your pride and use your voice.

Proud to be a nursing student. Proud to learn. Proud to care. Proud to contribute. 🩺

Now let’s make some noise. 📣

We are the future of nursing, and we have every right to advocate for an affordable path into the profession we are already working so hard to join.

Don’t stay silent. Stand up for yourself, stand up for the students beside you, and stand up for those who will come after us.

Canada needs nurses. Let’s make it possible to become one.

Our voice matters. Let’s use it. 💛

Partagez. Republiez.

Notre voix compte. Faisons-la entendre. 💛

Before we become nurses, we are already caring for Canada.

Nursing students spend years learning, developing clinical skills, completing placements, and contributing to the healthcare system and the communities we serve.

As students already give their time, energy, and care to healthcare, the transition from nursing student to nurse should not become harder to afford.

Canada needs nurses. Let’s make it possible to become one.

CNSA is taking action.

Our advocacy on the rising cost of entering nursing practice continues.

Today, CNSA President Scarlett Montserrat Sanabria-Ramos and Director of New Graduate Engagement Hugo Tam, RN, formally submitted a letter to the Canadian Council of Registered Nurse Regulators (CCRNR).

Why CCRNR? As the national body bringing together registered nurse regulators across Canada, CCRNR and its members are uniquely positioned to bring the Canadian regulatory perspective forward and advocate on issues affecting graduates entering the profession.

We are asking CCRNR and its members to raise our concerns with NCSBN, examine the cumulative cost of becoming licensed across Canada, explore ways to mitigate financial barriers, and ensure nursing students and new graduates have a meaningful voice in national entry-to-practice discussions.

Our message is clear: decisions about entering our profession should include the people preparing to enter it.

CNSA will continue bringing nursing students’ voices to the tables where these decisions are made.
