Help promote the NSERC Prizes call for nominations / Appel de candidatures aux prix du CRSNG : passez le mot!

Le Conseil de recherches en sciences naturelles et en génie du Canada (CRSNG) a lancé l’appel de candidatures pour ses divers prix, qui visent à rendre hommage à des scientifiques ainsi qu’à des ingénieures et ingénieurs d’exception issus du milieu de la recherche postsecondaire et des secteurs privé, public et sans but lucratif dans l’ensemble du pays. Ces prix contribuent à faire connaître des modèles inspirants pour la génération montante.

Le CRSNG reconnaît que la diversité fait la force du milieu de la recherche au Canada. C’est pourquoi il sollicite votre aide pour encourager la présentation d’une variété de candidatures qui reflète toute l’étendue de l’excellence dans l’écosystème de la recherche au Canada.

Points à considérer lors de la présentation d’une candidature :

Explorer toutes les possibilités avant d’en proposer une afin de favoriser la diversité des candidatures.
Reconnaître que la diversité prend différentes formes et ne renvoie pas uniquement à l’identité des personnes mises en candidature, mais aussi, entre autres, au domaine de recherche, à la taille de l’établissement et à la région.
Indiquer les diverses contributions de la personne ou de l’équipe mise en candidature à la recherche ou à la promotion des sciences, par exemple, la transmission des connaissances, la formation et le mentorat de personnel hautement qualifié ou la communication de résultats de recherche à des non-spécialistes.
Encourager des collègues à mettre en candidature d’autres personnes ou équipes, car il peut y avoir plus d’une candidature par établissement.
Présenter sa propre candidature, s’il est permis de le faire, ou demander à une autre personne de le faire.

Les personnes et équipes mises en candidature peuvent être reconnues pour leurs réalisations ainsi que les retombées qu’elles génèrent à l’échelle locale, nationale ou internationale (selon le prix).

Les membres de comités d’évaluation sont invités à lire les Lignes directrices sur l’évaluation des contributions à la recherche, à la formation et au mentorat afin d’être en mesure d’évaluer les dossiers de candidature en tenant compte de toutes les formes de contributions.

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) has launched a call for nominations for its various awards, which recognize outstanding scientists and engineers from the post-secondary research community and the private, public and not-for-profit sectors across the country. These awards help to promote inspiring role models for the next generation.

NSERC recognizes that diversity is the strength of Canada's research community. That is why it is asking for your help in encouraging a variety of nominations that reflect the full breadth of excellence in Canada's research ecosystem.

Points to consider when applying:

Explore all options before proposing one to encourage diversity of candidates.
Recognize that diversity takes many forms and does not only refer to the identity of the nominees, but also to the field of research, the size of the institution, and the region, among other things.
Identify the nominee's or team's various contributions to research or science promotion, such as knowledge transfer, training and mentoring highly qualified personnel, or communicating research results to non-specialists.
Encourage colleagues to nominate other individuals or teams, as there may be more than one nomination per institution.
Submit your own candidacy, if permitted, or ask another person to do so.

Nominees may be recognized for their achievements and the impact they generate at the local, national or international level (depending on the award).

Review committee members are encouraged to read the Guidelines for the Assessment of Contributions to Research, Training and Mentoring in order to be able to evaluate applications in consideration of all forms of contributions.

Premier's Council on Disabilities

The MASU Student Bursary was created to provide some additional financial support to students and help ease the cost of mandatory Mount Allison University expenses. 

This year, 10 bursaries of $500 each will be available to eligible applicants. Funds for successful applicants will be administered to your MtA financial account viewable on Self Service before the Fall tuition fee deadline.
