Mark your calendars! Join us at the Bell Sensplex in Ottawa on September 10–11, 2026 for two exciting days of hockey, community spirit, and fundraising in support of Jack Laidlaw and research to find a cure for SPG4.

⚾️🥤 Support the Kanata Cubs 13U Bottle Drive for Jack! 🥤⚾️

This Sunday, the players and families of the Kanata Cubs 13U are hosting a bottle drive fundraiser. Every bottle and can donated will help support our family’s SPG4 Cure Fundraiser for Jack! These donations will go directly to funding critical research to develop a cure to this rare, genetic and progressive disease.

SPG4 causes progressive nerve damage that affects movement and mobility. There is currently no cure. Promising research to develop a gene therapy is underway. Every dollar raised helps move that research forward and brings us one step closer to a treatment for our son, Jack.

📅 Sunday, June 14
⏰ Team members will be canvassing neighbourhoods from 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Donations can also be dropped off at The Beer Store, 499 Terry Fox Drive, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

🍕🎉 A huge thank you to .chartrand of for hosting a special pizza-making experience for Liam and our families to celebrate Liam’s incredible achievement with his successful lemonade stand in support of SPG4 research and finding a cure for his friend, Jack.

Josh is always one of the first people to reach out and ask how he can help support our fundraisers - we are so grateful for his kindness and generosity! Thank you for helping us celebrate Liam and for all that you do for our community!
