Full moon rituals.

Rereading an old journal from when I was really sick and taking the pages out one by one to add to the fire. Some pages were hard to read. Some made me laugh. It was a really hard time in my life. The doctors appointments, the treatments, the side effects of all of that and I was surprised to see in hindsight how much I was truly struggling then. I thanked this body, mind and soul for everything she endured then. For seeking the help she needed and being oh so very patient with the progress she made. Tearing out the pages, adding to the fire and letting go. I so needed this. I needed the reminder of how far I've come. At one point I felt like if I could go back I would hug her, tell her she's not as alone as she feels and everything will be ok. It won't be easy but she will make it out the other side with so much support. She only had to take the first step and ask. To everyone who supported me when I needed you most 💛

Viparita Karani ~ legs up the wall pose

You can use a cushion, folded blanket, or bolster under your hips or simply lay on the floor. Try all of these variations to find your sweet spot.

• Sit with your right hip against the wall.

• Bring your legs up against the wall as you turn to lie your back flat on the floor.

• Place your hips against the wall or slightly away. Find what is comfortable for you.

• Place your arms in any comfortable position.

• Stay in this position for up to 20 minutes.

Legs up the wall can aid with circulation and blood flow. It stretches your legs, hamstrings and glutes and may ease lower back pain. Practice this pose before bed or during the night if you are having difficulty sleeping. You can practice right in bed! Bring awareness to your breath while in this pose. When you're able to relax your body it becomes easier to relax your mind.
