✨ Fun Fact Friday with Tara✨
I'm at the gym 3-4 times a week, and Reiki has become a regular part of how I move through my workout.
At the gym, I usually start with 10 minutes of cardio, running Reiki through my hands and along my body mid-workout to manage exertion. This smooths out the electromagnetics of my field, easing tension in my breath (which often gives me a burst of energy), relieving oncoming cramps or joint pain, keeping me in alignment, and tapping in for that extra sprint.
At first, I self-administered Reiki at the gym using my mind alone because, admittedly, I worried people would think it was "weird." Now, I move my hands freely mid-session, working on tight spots and sore muscles wherever needed. We lead by example, and these tools deserve to be seen in everyday spaces.
Reiki, to me, is a recovery essential. It is one of the most practical on-the-go healing tools I know, and a biohack anyone can learn.
Post-workout, I combine sauna, meditation, and Reiki to run Qi (Ki - life force energy) through the body. This eases muscle soreness, helps recalibrate the breath, and supports regeneration in the body.
Self-Reiki has also helped me heal a bad sprained ankle, a sprained wrist after a boxing class, and even practical first aid (bug bites and burns, for example!).
While energy healing is widely understood and accepted across many global cultures, we still have work to do in the West to reclaim the modalities we've suppressed, and welcome a fuller picture of health and wellbeing.
