Yoga in the Park is Back!
Another summer in Georgian Bluffs means another beautiful season of Yoga in the Park at Sarawak Family Park! Join us by the water for a relaxed, welcoming outdoor yoga experience - perfect for all ages and abilities. Led by local instructor Julie Bradley-Low from Stonegrove Farm & Wellness Studio, these free sessions are all about moving your body, finding your breath, and enjoying the fresh air with your community.

Haven't tried pickleball yet? Pickleball combines a fun, low-impact cardiovascular workout with the chance to meet new people. The small court, lightweight paddles, and underhand serves make it accessible, and the strategic nature of the game keeps both body and mind sharp.

Drop-in sessions are available 3 days a week at Kemble & Kilsyth Arenas. Plus, you can access extra court time through the Georgian Bluffs Pickleball Club in Kemble.

You just had a RIGHT knee replacement.

The big question is...

Which side should you use your cane on?

❌ The right side?
❌ The left side?
❌ Both sides while pretending you're downhill skiing?

If you guessed LEFT SIDE — you're correct! 🎉

Using the cane in the opposite hand helps take pressure off your surgical knee, improves balance, and makes walking more efficient.

Think of it this way:
🦵 Right knee is doing the healing.
🦯 Left hand does the helping.

Using the cane on the same side as your sore knee is a bit like carrying an umbrella indoors and expecting it to stop the rain. ☔😆

⛳️ Golf Season: Where your swing feels like a pro… and your body feels like it played 18 rounds of regret
It starts innocent enough:
“Just a relaxing round of golf.”
Fast forward 4 hours:

Shoulder says “I’m done”

Low back is negotiating its resignation

Forearm is questioning every life choice

And somehow… the golf ball is still undefeated

🏌️‍♂️ At Physiotherapy III, we love golf—but we also know it can turn even the smoothest swing into a full-body workout you didn’t sign up for.
Common “I swear it was just one round” issues:

Rotator cuff irritation from that one powerful drive you tried to impress your friends with

Low back stiffness from bending like a question mark over every putt

Elbow pain (aka “why is my arm angry at me?”)

💡 Physio tip of the day:
If your warm-up is just grabbing your clubs and saying “she’ll be right,” your body may disagree around hole 7.

aka “I just bent down for one plant and now I live here permanently” 😅

It always starts innocent:
💭 “I’ll just hang a few baskets and plant some flowers.”

And ends with:
😵 Stiff lower back
😵 Sore shoulders from overhead hanging
😵 Knees that suddenly don’t love kneeling anymore
😵 A deep respect for anyone who owns more than 3 hanging baskets

Common gardening “injuries” include:
🌿 The “one more basket” overhead shoulder strain
🌿 The “I’ll just fix this one plant” repetitive bending syndrome
🌿 The “why am I on the ground again?” knee discomfort
🌿 The classic garden twist (aka lifting pots like a forklift with no training)

Gardening survival tips:
✔️ Break tasks into smaller rounds (your back will thank you)
✔️ Use stools or benches instead of constant bending
✔️ Switch sides when lifting or hanging baskets
✔️ Lift pots close to your body — not at arm’s length like a weightlifting challenge
✔️ Stretch before you become part of the landscaping 😄
