Hi Everyone! Recently I have been hearing a lot about protein consumption and what amounts to take in. There also seems to be a big focus on animal proteins. What about plant based protein! You might be eating more protein than you think!
Some everyday veggies and there proteins amounts!
1. Spinach 1 cup =5.4 grams
2. Crimini mushrooms 5 oz=3.7
3 Asparagus 1 cup= 4.7
4 Broccoli 1 cup= 4.7
5. Lentils 1 cup= 17.9!!!!
6. Swiss Chard 1 cup= 3.3 grams
7 Avacado 1 cup= 2.7
8. Nuts and seeds 1/4 cup=8.2 grams
9.legumes (beans) 1 cup=28.62
10. mustard greens 1 cup= 3.2
Keep in mind that there is protein in most foods and you might be getting more than you think in your daily diet. The plant protein are also easier on your digestion and usually contain less calories!
Happy Eating!!!!

I just mixed a batch of yummy, nutritious energy bites! Super easy and great before or after a work out!
2 cups raw seeds and nuts ( I did 1/2 cup almonds, pumpkin seeds, 1/2 cup chia seeds, 1/2 cup h**p seeds) 2 cups pitted dates, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 salt, 2 tbsp coconut oil.

Mix nuts and seeds in the food processor, blend lightly, leave a bit chinky. BLend coconut oil, dates and vanilla together until smooth. Mix all together in a large bowl. I used my hands and made sure the batter stuck together. If its a bit dry add of water or more coconut oil.
Roll into balls and refrigerate. Enjoy!!!!
