🌿 A Little Reminder & Something New! 🌿

For anyone who is new to Edge of the Woods Massage & Wellness, and a little reminder for my returning clients too. 💚

I work from my home in Seguin Township, where I provide a relaxed, comfortable and welcoming environment.

🐾 I also share my home with two dogs, so you may see or hear them during your visit. Please keep this in mind if you have allergies or aren't comfortable around dogs.

💆‍♀️ For my massage services, I am a Massage Practitioner, not an RMT, so I do not provide receipts for insurance benefits.

✨ NEW SERVICE STARTING NOVEMBER 1ST — BODY SUGARING! ✨

No facial sugaring is offered.

🍂 November Special: Receive $10 OFF any sugaring service, or combination of sugaring services, totaling over $60 for the month of November.

📞 To book your massage or sugaring appointment, call or text 905-324-6568.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support my little home-based business. I truly appreciate it and look forward to introducing you to this new service! 🌿💚

🍄 Mushroom Expert / Mycologist Wanted — Seguin Township 🍄🌲

I have been exploring the forest on my property in Seguin Township and have been amazed by the variety of mushrooms and fungi growing here. The more I find, the more I want to learn!

So far, I have photographed quite a variety, including:

🍄 Amanita-type mushrooms, including possible grisettes
🍄 Tiny parachute-type mushrooms (Marasmius and related fungi)
🍄 Large bracket and shelf fungi
🍄 Several types of gilled woodland mushrooms
🍄 White, cream, tan, brown and pinkish mushrooms
🍄 Fungi growing on living trees, fallen wood and decaying logs
🍄 Mushrooms growing throughout the moss, pine needles and hardwood leaf litter
🍄 Many more that I haven't been able to identify yet!

I'm looking for someone who studies mycology, is an experienced mushroom educator/forager, or has extensive knowledge of Ontario mushrooms and would be interested in coming to the property to help educate me about what is growing here — identification, ecology, traditional/medicinal uses where appropriate, edibility and poisonous look-alikes.

🌲 Interested in Teaching a Mushroom Walk?

I'd also be happy to host two small educational mushroom walks/classes on the property — one in the spring and one in the fall.

The instructor could organize the classes and charge participants their own fee. My only fee for the use of my property would be that I participate in both classes free of charge.

This is private property and I want to protect what is growing here, so the walks would be educational and observation-focused. Mushroom or plant harvesting would not be permitted unless specifically approved by me.

If you're knowledgeable about mushrooms and this interests you — or you know someone in the Parry Sound, Seguin or Muskoka area who might be a good fit — please send me a private message.

🍄🌿 I'd love to learn more about the incredible fungal world growing right under my feet.

Unfortunately the 2 spots are full. But Bubba will be happy to meet new clients.
