(Bio-energetic Intolerance Elimination)
aka Allergy treatments

What is Bio-Energetics (BIE)? Bio-Energetics (BIE) is a simple new natural modality that uses a state-of-the-art instrument called the GSR-120 unit that is used to direct energy onto various points on the body to help create a homeostatic state, allowing the body to heal itself, alleviating suffering from identified stressors. Stressors are discordant energies that lead to imbalances in the body creating dis-ease states. Common stressors or stressor type reactions include:
•Food and Environmental Intolerances (Dairy, Gluten, Nuts, Dust/Dust Mites, Pets, Molds, Weeds, Pollens)
•Fatigue – Digestive Issues – Hormonal Disturbances – Sleep Conditions – Behavioral and Emotional Problems

How can BIE help? Once the stressors are identified, the GSR-120 unit is used on various points on the body, allowing the body to heal itself. How many BIE sessions will I need? Generally, it requires only 1 to 4 sessions depending upon the following:
•The amount of bodily toxins
•The strength of the person’s immune system
•The client’s level of hydration
•The stress level of the client

However, several visits may be required to help the body to achieve homeostasis with those who are affected by multiple stressors. Once homeostasis is achieved, there is usually no need for subsequent or yearly visits for the same stressors.

What if I told you there’s medicine growing all around us? 🌿

Recently, I was invited to speak to a local Indigenous community about plant medicine and some of the incredible medicinal plants growing right here in Saskatchewan. I loved the experience so much that it got me thinking…Why not share this information with even more people?

So we’re going for a walk! 🌲

Join me for a Plant Medicine Walk through beautiful Moose Mountain Provincial Park (Kenosee), where we’ll identify medicinal plants growing right in our own backyard and talk about:

🌿 How to identify them
🌿 How they’ve been used as medicine
🌿 What we know about their uses today
🌿 How plants can actually be prepared and turned into herbal medicine
🌿 Safe and responsible use
🌿 And plenty of time for questions along the way!

You’ll also receive educational handouts to take home, so there’s no pressure to remember everything we talk about.

And really, this event is about more than plants.

It’s a chance to get outside, move your body, connect with nature, meet some like-minded people and rediscover knowledge about the plants around us that has been passed down through generations.

🌲 PLANT MEDICINE WALK
📅 September 5
⏰ 10 AM–12 PM
📍 Moose Mountain Provincial Park (Kenosee) — meet at the Dog Park
**Heads up you will need a park pass to get into the Park!
🌧️ Rain or shine
🎟️ $20/person
🌿 Maximum 20 participants

Your $20 registration holds your spot and includes your educational resources.

Spaces are intentionally VERY limited so that we can keep this a small, interactive group. If you’d like to join us, make sure you register early!

Come walk, learn and look at the Saskatchewan landscape a little differently, and have the knowledge to care for your health the way people have been for generations before us.

You can find the link in my bio!

***Educational event only. Information shared about medicinal plants is not individualized medical advice. Plant identification and medicinal use require appropriate knowledge and precautions.

If you’ve ever sat in my office and hesitated before saying, “Okay, this might sound a little weird, but…” I can guarantee you don’t need to worry.

Curious about a non-conventional therapy? Heard about something online? Wondering if there could be another way to approach what you’re experiencing?

Tell me. I want to hear it.

Chances are, while you were describing your symptoms, I was already thinking about some of those options too. 😂

After 21+ years in practice, trust me when I say I’ve heard A LOT. And I will never judge someone for being curious, asking questions, doing their own research, or wanting to leave no stone unturned when it comes to their health.

My job isn’t to decide which form of healthcare you’re allowed to believe in.

My job is to educate you, help you understand ALL of your options, separate what may be useful from what probably won’t move the needle, discuss risks and benefits, and help you make informed decisions about YOUR health.

Sometimes the best option is conventional medicine.
Sometimes it’s nutrition or lifestyle.
Sometimes it’s a botanical, supplement or another complementary therapy.
Sometimes it is a newer therapy that hasn’t yet passed the 20+ years it takes for people to do the peer reviewed, science based research.
And very often, it’s a combination.

There is zero judgement in my clinic.

So bring me the weird question. Bring me the TikTok you saw. Bring me the thing your neighbour’s cousin swears changed their life….We’ll talk about it!

Because I’d much rather you feel comfortable asking questions than feel like you have to navigate your health alone. And hearing that a patient is open to alternative options can open a lot of doors to healing!

Folate (vitamin B9) plays an important role in red blood cell formation, DNA production and repair, cell division, and healthy nervous system function. It’s also especially important during pregnancy and periods of rapid growth.

When folate is low, symptoms can include fatigue, weakness, headaches, difficulty concentrating, and certain types of anemia…but symptoms alone can’t tell us whether folate is the problem. That’s where bloodwork comes in.

I’m breaking down folate, why your body needs it, what we can learn from testing, and why looking at results alongside the rest of your health picture matters.

Another little piece of the bloodwork puzzle! 🧩

When your child (or anyone else you love) is diagnosed with celiac disease, figuring out the gluten-free diet is a BIG piece of the puzzle…but naturally, parents often wonder: “What else can I do to support them?”

When supporting a newly diagnosed child…from checking for nutrient deficiencies and monitoring growth, to supporting gut health and making sure their body has what it needs as the intestine begins to heal.

With children especially, support should always be individualized and coordinated with their healthcare team.

Our next Thermology Clinic with Brenda Atkinson of SomaTherm is coming to Harmony Health Clinic on October 4th!

Thermology is a non-invasive, radiation-free screening tool that uses thermal imaging to detect patterns and changes in heat and blood flow throughout the body. These patterns can provide valuable information about areas of inflammation, circulation changes, or other physiological activity that may warrant further investigation.

One of the reasons we love offering Thermology is that it can be used proactively, you don’t need to wait until a certain age or until something feels wrong to start gathering information about your health.

Thermal imaging may be used for:
✨ Breast health monitoring
✨ Inflammation and pain patterns
✨ Circulation
✨ Musculoskeletal concerns
✨ Monitoring changes in the body over time

📅 October 4th at Harmony Health Clinic

Appointments are booked directly through Brenda Atkinson/SomaTherm, NOT through Harmony Health Clinic. All booking information can be found on the last slide.

If you’ve been curious about Thermology, this is a great opportunity to learn more and decide whether it’s a useful addition to your preventative health plan.

When we think about blood sugar, we often think about food, sugar and carbohydrates….but hormones play an important role too!

Several hormones are constantly working behind the scenes to help keep our blood sugar balanced, including insulin, glucagon, cortisol, thyroid T3 & T4, adrenaline and more.

In this next part of my hormone series, we’re shifting our focus to blood sugar regulation….starting with an introduction to the hormones involved and the roles they play.

Over the next few videos, we’ll dig a little deeper into how hormones and blood sugar are connected and what can happen when that balance gets disrupted.

The world of on-line supplement shopping can be a lot to navigate and the epitome of ‘buyer beware’ and so we’ve build a website that only carries professional, 3rd party tested products from reputable companies.

Noticing a few changes while shopping on our website? 👀 Don’t worry, we haven’t taken away your favourite products!

Some of the professional brands and formulations we carry have specific requirements around how their products can be displayed, priced, or sold online. This means you’ll notice a few differences with Cyto-Matrix, Designs for Health, and Harmony Health Formulations.

We’ve broken down exactly what these changes mean in today’s post. 👉

And remember—just because you can’t find something online doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t carry it! If you’re ever unsure, give the clinic a call and we’ll be happy to help.

How can you actually support your thyroid?

After talking about how the thyroid works and what can impact it, I want to wrap up this section with one of the most important pieces: supporting your thyroid in a way that works for YOU.

Thyroid support can involve many different pieces, including:

Nutrition — giving your body the nutrients it needs to produce and use thyroid hormones effectively.

Medication & supplements — when appropriate, these can be important tools for supporting thyroid function and addressing individual needs.

Lifestyle — sleep, stress, movement, environmental exposures and other everyday habits can all be part of the bigger picture.

But you don’t have to change everything overnight.

When I work with patients, we look at where you are right now, what your body needs, and what feels realistic for you. Some people are ready to make several changes at once. Others need to start with one small step. Both are okay.

My job isn’t to hand you an overwhelming list and expect you to do it all tomorrow. It’s to educate you, give you options, and help you move toward better health at a pace that works for you.

Whether you need a little guidance or support through the entire process, I can meet you where you’re at and work alongside you on your timeline.
