This year has brought me many challenges with my health, losing my business to a fu***ng bike lane, and having to part with my prized aquarium.
But the most pain I have ever felt in my life was having to make the call to put down my best friend ever, my Blue. She went for her last walk on Thursday the 11th, started sneezing occasionally on Saturday the 13th, and on Monday the 15th she was diagnosed with late stage ”Canine Diabetic Keto Acidosis”, that night she and I laid on the back porch under the stars while I pet her, in the morning I helped her go for her last walk around the backyard as shown in the last pic and the we took her to cross the rainbow bridge….
I would like to thank Dr Nixon and the staff at Lindsey Veterinary Hospital for making it the most peaceful and dignified passage for my bestest Doggo ever…Princess Blue.
What I wish I had known before is that if your dog starts drinking more water than usual and needs to urinate more often, please get them tested ASAP for Canine Diabetes as dogs adapt to issues and seldom show external symptoms, they just want to make us happy,!
And one more thing, tell your dog I said Hi!
