*Hypnotherapy*

Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy used by a qualified Hypnotherapist to reprogram the subconscious mind. When under hypnosis, one's mind and body are in a heightened state of awareness, making one more susceptible to suggestions for self improvement and behavior modification.

*Hypnosis*

Hypnosis is a state of increased concentration and suggestibility in which the conscious mind "steps aside" allowing direct communication with the subconscious mind, allowing one to make changes at a deep subconscious level needed to make permanent changes. Hypnosis is similar to that of deep meditation. It is a safe, fast and effective way to make lasting, positive life changes.

MYTH: One can be hypnotized by a hypnotherapist against their will.
FACT: A person must give consent to be hypnotized. One cannot be made to do anything against their will, ethics or morals.

MYTH: A hypnotherapist lulls the client to sleep with a soft, soothing voice or music.
FACT: The conscious mind is relaxed completely and fully aware.

MYTH: Weak people make the best hypnotic subjects.
FACT: Those who are able to focus well and have a good imagination tend to make very good hypnotic subjects.

MYTH: The hypnotists will control that of the subject.
FACT: The hypnotist helps the client to release their own talent and hidden abilities. There is no submission in hypnosis.

MYTH: Only a very small portion of the population can be hypnotized.
FACT: 90-95% of the population can be hypnotized. This is totally dependent on the willingness of the client.

MYTH: Hypnotism is voodoo, dark, evil.
FACT: Hypnosis is scientific. It is not supernatural or of the occult.

MYTH: People aren't in control of their body when hypnotized.
FACT: You are in full control during hypnosis. You are aware of what you are doing and what is being asked of you.

MYTH: Hypnosis is the same as sleep.
FACT: You are awake during hypnosis even though you may appear to be sleeping. You are in a very deep relaxation.

Each of us enter a state of hypnosis called waking hypnosis several times a day, while watching TV, driving or reading. It is a perfectly natural state.
