Get to know Christine!
Q: What inspired you to have a career in physiotherapy?
A: My first physio experience was when I was 10. The physio I saw had a student who just so happened to be… an Olympic gymnast! Since his training gym was right next door to my gymnastics club, I thought it was the coolest thing ever. As I grew up competing in sports, I kept having great experiences with physio and fell in love with how fascinating the human body is. It just made sense to turn that passion into a career.
Q: Do you have a favourite injury to treat?
A: Nope! I don’t play favourites. Each injury has its own puzzle pieces, and I love helping people put them back together so they can get back to what they love.
Q: What’s one piece of advice you give almost every patient?
A: “Consistency beats intensity every time.” Little bits, done regularly, add up to big results—way more than one heroic workout followed by three days stuck on the couch.
Q: What’s a common rehab myth you wish more people knew the truth about?
A: The classic: ‘No pain, no gain.’ Pushing through pain doesn’t mean you’re working harder, it just means you’ll be stuck hanging out with me more. Which… isn’t the worst, but probably not what you had in mind for your free time.
Q: When you're not in clinic, what are you up to?
A: Mostly chauffeuring my kids to their endless activities . Otherwise, you’ll catch me on the soccer field—either playing or coaching—or hiding out in my sewing room, happily buried under fabric.
