FOOD FOR THOUGHT 💭

🥕You might’ve heard carrots are good for your vision. But do you know why?
It actually isn’t the carrot itself, but the beta-carotene found in the carrot.

And vitamin A isn’t the only ingredient to support healthy vision. A diet rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, lutein, and zeaxanthin to stay healthy and sharp. So, make sure you and your kids eat plenty of carrots—but also sweet potatoes, red bell peppers, citrus, and leafy greens like kale, spinach, and romaine lettuce!

What actually is myopia? It's when distant objects look blurry but near objects stay clear and in kids, it can progress fast.

If left untreated, myopia can progress. This can mean that as the eye continues to grow, your child’s vision can get blurrier and other issues may arise. The good news is that there are new management options that can correct your child’s vision and slow myopia progression.

Visit FYidoctors for a personalized care plan for your child's needs.
