i have already spoken to a few of you about this, and let me just start off this life update by saying y’all had me in TEARS over your kindness. 😭💕

after working for nearly 10 years in the beauty industry, it is time for me to begin a new chapter of my life in a new career, and it’s safe to say that nothing has ever felt so bittersweet.

i was fortunate enough to find a salon that truly showed me the best that this industry has to offer. i was able to learn and grow as an artist, and spend my days with women that always had me looking forward to coming to work. i don’t think i’ve ever had a job that involves me crying from laughing as often as i do here.

my last day at the salon will be September 4th, so if you are wanting to sneak in before i leave, please do. i will post updates on what i have available/any last minute cancellations.
i will also be reaching out to those booked past my end date over the next few days to reconfirm your appointments with one of the other talented girls here.

this career was something i never imagined myself being able to do, and i can’t thank you enough for your trust + support for making it possible 🫶🏻

Your skin barrier can handle a lot, but not everything at once. 🛡️

Barrier disruption often isn't caused by one “bad” product. More often, it's the cumulative effect of too much, too often, without enough recovery and support.

For example, a client may be using an exfoliant, retinoid, acne treatment and cleanser that are each appropriate individually, but together, they may be more than the skin can comfortably tolerate.

And when the barrier becomes compromised, more treatment isn't always the answer. Increased sensitivity, dryness, redness and reactivity can make the skin less resilient and less tolerant of the very products intended to improve it.

For professionals, barrier assessment should be part of the treatment conversation, not an afterthought.

Before adding another active, ask: Is the skin ready for it?

Healthy skin isn't about avoiding actives. It's about finding the right balance between treatment and support.

It's one of the biggest skincare myths...
