π June's bite-sized nutrition pick: Ontario strawberries, and they're worth the hype!
Those perfectly uniform store strawberries? Bred for shelf life, not flavour. Ontario's strawberry season is something else entirely, short, sweet, and absolutely worth it.
Beyond the taste, they're a nutritional win: great source of fibre and vitamin C. One cup has about as much vitamin C as an entire orange! π
If you manage not to eat them straight from the basket, try pairing them with rhubarb (another June staple!) for a fibre-rich compote, amazing on yogurt, pancakes, or waffles. Or go savoury with a strawberry basil ricotta toast: bit.ly/4fVGIt6 π€
