I used to think staying healthy on vacation meant being strict…
But that actually wasn’t what helped me.
On my last vacation, I focused on balance:
✨ increasing fibre (psyllium husks, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lots of legumes)
✨ cutting down on saturated fats
✨ replacing red meat with chicken, fish, and plant-based proteins like tofu
✨ staying well hydrated
✨ daily movement (walking, lifting weights, exploring, being active)
✨ and still enjoying ice cream
👋I’m Patricia a registered dietitian in Montreal helping women 40+ regain their confidence in their bodies and know what to eat in midlife without guilt.
Because here’s what the evidence supports:
👉 fibre helps lower LDL cholesterol
👉 replacing saturated fats improves heart health
👉 plant proteins and fish support better lipid balance
👉 movement supports metabolism
👉 restriction and stress can make consistency harder
So instead of trying to control everything…
I focused on supporting my body consistently.
And something shifted.
And my cholesterol actually went down.
This is what most people don’t expect:
Health doesn’t always come from restriction.
It comes from consistency you can actually live with.
Hit me with a ❤️ if you agree with my approach.
If you’re ready to regain back confidence in your body and the food you eat you’re in the right place.
