I passed by a man driving a beat up car today. His hair was all unkempt, bewildered look upon his face and it reminded me;

Some of the most defeated people you see are the highly sensitives. Highly attuned, energetically sensitive, the most intuitive of us all.

Not less resilient than the rest, but more resonant with truth. More sensitive to a world constructed in spite of our true nature.

The disheartened, disheveled, and defeated are not often who you think. They are not broken, ‘nuts’ or cast outs. They are struggling in a world built on output and consumption, overstimulation, dis-easing rates of EMF, flooded with flashing lights so fast that they seem still, scrabbling their chemistry, forcing them into the solace of the dark. Into a numbing place.

We live in a world where it is a fight to preserve our energy, keep our vibration high, honour our own boundaries, and listen to our guts.

And there’s no doubt they tried. Some don’t stand a chance. Those that run the world are good at what they do. Curated over-consumption, so persuasive, brainwashing, inert of integrity. Praise of our free will, holistic vitality, collective sovereignty? Sorry, no, not here. They can’t patent that.

These people, they are us. Frogs simmering in a pot, water so slow to boil, unfelt until the damage’s done. And we wonder what it is wrong. Wonder why we feel so bad.

Consider this next time you see someone spinning out, frozen nervous system, hunched upon the curb or close to giving up. Or if it hits home for you 🤍 They are some of the most highly attuned. Intelligent and sensitive just trying to survive the antithesis of true nature.

PSA! Have you ever had reflexology? I went and had a session today (acupressure / massage for your feetsies if you’re unaware🦶🏼) because I had been on my feet ALL day yesterday cutting hair (grateful for that!) and my body was soo sore. I also have a reoccurring chronic neck / upper back issue and it had been plaguing me for weeks.

The PSA part of this story is that I left my appointment and realized as I got in my car that all my pain was gone. Like ALL of it. I have full range of motion in my neck, no more back pain, stiff hips, and my feet feel like little clouds (adorbsies!).

So NATURALLY I now want to train to become a reflexologist, alongside becoming a counsellor coupled with the hypnotherapy course I’m part way through 😂

Today I went to the Art of Pressure in Port Alberni (her rates are circa 1995!) she was absolutely lovely, and also does massage.

I cried today for my grandma. I buried my face into her summer dress and fell to the bed with it. My throat tightened up to think about all the ways she could’ve stayed.

If only hospital rooms had big windows, and let the daylight in ~ no wonder she wanted to go. If only they served nutritious food, she would’ve had the strength to stay. If only I was with her more, if only I knew how to help her, if only, if only, if only….

I trust in the timing of our lives, and yet it’s easy to be swept away in all the could’ve beens. I smelled her dress, and hugged myself just like she would’ve done. I let her dress absorb my tears and asked for some signs from her.

I left to meet my friend at Rosewall Creek for a little hike. She pulled these flowers out for me. She said the thought popped in as she left her house and doubled back to get them. The same flowers that grew in my grandmas front yard ~ purple lilacs and peach roses 🤍 I smelled them every spring.

Life is such a treasure. A constant vacillation. Beautiful and sad and all the in betweens 🌀

Last night before my sound bath at I had a little nap. I dreamt about my grandpa. He was both my grandpa and my great grandpa merged into one being (dreams.. 💭 you know).

I woke up ♥️ warmed and grateful, it felt really sweet, to be loved and visited by them. I feel strongly connected to my grandmas but struggle to feel the same with the spirits of my grandpas. I wondered if they would show up in my sound bath that night. Grandmothers always do.

I forgot about all about my dream, and had a beautiful event with a room full of beautiful women. At the end, as I packed up, one of the lovely ladies came up to me to chat. She said she wasn’t sure if it would mean anything, but when the drum came out, when I started playing it, the presence of a grandfather, THE grandfathers, came in very strong.

If you have a feeling, I encourage you to let it be true. It usually makes sense 💞 The more we speak it out loud, the more we realize it. Your intuition is a force that supports us all.

I loved yoga. It was a big part of my life in my 20’s and 30’s. But I stopped. Accumulative car accidents, a gym slip up and A LOT of poor form chaturanga led to pain and my frustration, a slip into complacency and ultimately a fear of showing up again.

For sometime now, I’ve been thinking I’d like to get back into my practice. Then, as the holographic nature of the universe would have it 😉 Enter stage right, the materializations of my hopes and dreams.. of all that’s good for me.

I have been invited into ’s new chapter, in their gorgeous new studio in Tin Town as their resident sound healer!! I’m thrilled to be a part of such a beautiful community, one I’ve heard so much about 💞

There is not only an incredible variety of yoga types and classes, the schedule includes embodiment practices, somatic experiencing, nervous system reset, breathwork, ceremonies, and sound baths!

Every other Thursday evening, beginning May, 7th, join me for a restorative sound bath 🛁 to soothe your soul, recalibrate your energy and deepen your inner connection. No experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome 🤍

I’m looking forward to sharing space with you, new and current community and I can’t wait to get back on my mat (niggling fear and all!) and bask in all the magic and love with you✨💞
