Jaw always tense? Try this right now.
Press your tongue flat to the roof of your mouth and suction it up. Now try to clench your jaw without releasing the tongue.
You can't, not really. That's the tongue-jaw nervous system in action.
This is one of the foundational principles of myofunctional therapy and it's one of the most underrated tools for relieving chronic tension, reducing TMJ symptoms and supporting nervous system regulation.
Simple. Effective. And most people have not heard of it.
