As many of you already know it's been a difficult week. Canada lost three police officers to su***de. Every time I hear about a first responder su***de it hits hard. If you know our story, then you know my partner Dave went off work with PTSD in 2023. He was going to end his life as the horrors of the job became too much. All the warning signs were there for months that he was not doing well but he was not offered the support needed at work to prevent him from reaching a crisis. Unfortunately, this story is all too common. This is why it is so important for us to advocate for change. Our first responder community needs support. They have for a long time.
