Big News Dr. Jen Cham, ND has found herself in qathet and is looking to share her expertise. Dr. Cham and I graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in 2009 and 2010 respectively and I was very excited to connect with her again. She will be practicing at Broadleaf on Mondays and offering IV therapy and integrative naturopathic care for chronic complex conditions including cancer and Lyme disease.

Her first career was as a registered nurse, working in acute and sub-acute medical units, IV Therapy/PICC Teams throughout the Lower Mainland, and then teaching with the University of British Columbia School of Nursing. This history created the foundation for a collaborative practice style and dedication to the concept of true integrative medicine.

She will be available starting September 15th. Check out the online booking page to see her offerings and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

If you suffer from back or neck pain, digestive discomfort, insomnia and anything related to chronic stress, acupuncture can help. As an ex-dancer Amber knows about injury. She loves offering people a way to reset and recover. Supporting women to feel their best through hormonal shifts is a passion. If you are fed up with being in pain, having low energy or brain fog - you are in the right place. Her studies began in Nelson nearly 20 years ago and she graduated from Pacific Rim College in 2011. She is a licensed acupuncturist.

Clinic Update- Annie Slakov, RAc (.annie ) has recently moved to Victoria to start a new chapter of her personal/professional life. She will be greatly missed her in qathet and at the clinic. We are wishing her all the best. She will be coming back for a week in March to see returning patients and stay tuned for possible further dates. ABOUT AYLA:
My intention in providing massage is that you will walk away not only feeling better and feer but also with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the wonderful machine that is your body. I really think massage is good medicine, whether it’s for maintenance or to treat a dysfunction. I bring my compassionate, observant, quiet nature to the table and I’ll be your cheerleader in making even small changes which can affect the ease with which you work and play, no matter what the age. I love facial work and osteopathic techniques with regular swedish massage tying it all together.

I grew up in a variety of places including Austria and a remote northern BC trapline. After an attempt at archaeology I became involved in various aspects of the horse industry. I graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2013 and haven’t looked back since. I have worked in many places across BC and briefly in New Zealand. Now life has brought me to the Sunshine Coast. Outside of work, I am a mom on a little farm, running after my little one and trying to grow a medicinal herb garden.

I’ve never seen a snake plant bloom before! Here one is at the office blooming away (apparently this is rare and happens in Spring and may also mean it wants a bigger pot - noted). It is December though, and that also means holiday hours and time away for some of us. .annie will be seeing patients all through December and will be away from Dec 13 to early January.
