I am forever grateful for a love so honest and devoted that it allows us to continually become more of who we truly are... so we can go higher, and higher, together.

A love that breaks my heart into a thousand pieces, then witnesses me creating beauty from the wreckage. A love that stays as I discover the edges of my darkness, and rises with me into the brilliance of my light. A love that is ever-expanding, ever-transforming, and unwavering. A love that holds space for unimaginable pain while carrying the promise of a deeply lived life.

I am grateful for you, Jamie Schenkeveld, for this life we share, for the privilege of growing alongside you, and for the gift of being fully myself while getting to know, and deeply love, you. ❤️

I am grateful for a love that continues to strip me down, so I can rise again and become all of who I am.

Mmm... the absolute deliciousness of moving from self-improvement into self-relationship.

The moment we stop asking, Who do I need to become? and instead ask, Who's here?

Maybe for the first time ever.

Instead of trying to construct ourselves into someone new, someone better, someone more worthy... we courageously enter our inner world, where our tender parts have been waiting for our attention.

Waiting for us to turn toward them. To listen.

Maybe for the first time ever.

It's through tending to the parts we've buried in shame that we discover we were never all the things we thought we needed to fix, and remember how deeply loved, wanted, and worthy we've always been. 🌹

I am in awe as I meet this knowing in myself again, even if only in glimmers at first. Because every time I turn toward my pain, I get a little closer to her. The woman who has waited a lifetime, and would have waited a lifetime more, just to be remembered.

One of my (many) favourite memories from Wild Roses Festival 2026 was dancing and being absolute goofballs with these beautiful souls. ❤️

It was a full-circle moment for me because last year, I didn't go to the dance. To be fair, there were thunder showers, but that was just the external reason... inside, I was deeply afraid of being seen. I have NEVER felt comfortable dancing, alone or with others. So I stayed in my tent and listened to the music play into the night.

This year was different. I had taken a Somatic Rave workshop the day before where I literally turned into liquid and felt the experience of PLEASURE as I swirled my hips and let my arms float toward the sky. I was so alive, unafraid of being seen, and deeply connected to the JOY of being me.

I remember taking a moment to pause and look around at all of the beautiful women who filled the field-turned-dance-floor in such deep awe of the scene, then turning to my friends to say, "There's so many ways to be a human."

So many expressions of life. So many channels of aliveness. So many ways to move, and sound, and dress, and express, and exude the felt sense of, "This is who I am." All so unique. All so beautiful. All so valid. All so wanted.

And I belonged.

I belonged.

And this incredible sense of belonging and FREEDOM came from one single thing... willingness.

Willingness to feel what is alive.
Willingness to be changed by what's there.
Willingness to f**k around and find out.
Willingness to trust the moment.
Willingness to be me.

And all of that led to something even more magnificent... a willingness to SEE, appreciate, and celebrate the beauty and belonging in all of the other women, too. To SEE their courage, appreciate their vulnerability, and celebrate their willingness to be seen.

Gah... it was stunning. 😭

If you're holding a baby in your arms, carrying the weight of lost sexual desire in your chest, and the fear of what this means for your relationship on your shoulders... I want you to know that I see you.

I really, really see you.

I see how vulnerable you feel right now. I see the endless mental loop of trying to "figure this out" while carrying the relentless load of caring for a baby, around the clock, day after day. I see the urgency, the frustration, and how it can quietly steal the joy from this season. And I see how deeply you love your partner and long for them to feel loved, met, and chosen.

I want to save you from an immense amount of searching outside yourself. There is nothing to fix. Nothing about you is lacking. You are not broken.

For many of us, motherhood arrives before we've ever had the chance to truly build a relationship with ourselves. Adolescence and early adulthood may have been spent surviving, performing, pleasing, or simply getting through. Then suddenly, we're raising another human before we've ever learned to truly know ourselves...our emotions, our needs, or the language of our own body.

Sometimes, what feels like a loss of desire is really an invitation back into relationship with yourself. And the connection you're longing for cannot be created by anything outside of you. It is something you gently, intentionally cultivate within (this is where I am right now and what I'm learning ❤️).

I know that feels terrifying right now. But I want you to know this: Your desire is not gone forever. Your relationship is not doomed. And you are not broken.

It is possible to come home to yourself. To feel alive in your body again. To be expressed, known, and met in the fullness of who you are. You don't have to shame yourself back into desire. You get to love yourself back home.

I'm learning that we heal by listening deeply to the wisdom of the body and courageously expressing our truth, even when we might be misunderstood, and even when the people we reveal ourselves to may not stay.

This isn't something I've mastered. It's something I'm living. Learning. Remembering. I'm sharing what is true for me as I discover it. Healing, I'm realizing, asks us to move through life in devotion to what is true for us. 🌹

I'm also beginning to see that when we deeply love and accept ourselves, we naturally connect with others through love rather than fear. But when there are parts of ourselves we believe are wrong, too much, not enough, or in need of fixing, fear shapes the way we relate. We project our wounds onto others and ask them to carry what we have not yet learned to hold within ourselves.

What I'm practicing now is becoming regulated enough to experience my emotions from a place of observation rather than reaction. Instead of trying to escape discomfort, I'm learning to stay with it. To listen. To tend to it with compassion. And slowly, I'm becoming the inner adult capable of soothing the frightened parts of myself... the young, tender, wounded, and fragile parts that have been longing to be seen, held, and loved.

The more I practice this, the more I notice that my relationships become less about needing others to fill what's missing in me and more about sharing the love I'm learning to cultivate within myself.

This is where I am right now. Still learning. Still stumbling. Still softening. And every time I choose to stay with myself instead of abandoning my truth, something in me heals.
