Rapé (also spelled Hapé or Rapeh, pronounced ha-peh) is a sacred Amazonian s***f medicine that has been used for thousands of years by Indigenous tribes of the Amazon rainforest in prayer, healing, grounding, protection, and spiritual connection. It is traditionally made from finely ground Mapacho (Nicotiana rustica, a sacred jungle to***co) blended with ashes from medicinal trees and other sacred plants.

For many Indigenous lineages such as the Yawanawá, Huni Kuin, Katukina, and other Amazonian tribes, Hapé is not viewed as a recreational substance, but as a sacred medicine and spiritual tool used with prayer, reverence, and intention. It is often prepared ceremonially by medicine people or shamans who pray, sing, and infuse intention into the medicine during its creation.
