Hill Ave Drugs first opened it’s doors in 1953. Since that time there have been many changes. It has seen the growth of the city, yet remained an important part of the Lakeview Community. Hill Ave Drugs was opened by Harold Ast and remained under his ownership until his son, Dean Ast, purchased the store from his father. In 1997, Hill Ave Drugs underwent its first large renovation. In 2000, Hill A
ve Drugs again decided to change for the better and became Regina’s first Pharmacy that specializes in compounding custom prescription medications. We became members of PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America), who help train our staff, provide us with ingredients, and assist us with the development of new formulas. Hill Ave Drugs can prepare prescriptions exclusively for their patient’s needs during drugs shortages; for customized pediatric strengths that are not made by pharmaceutical manufacturers; veterinary prescriptions; or different delivery systems, such as pain creams or bioidentical hormone therapy replacement products. In 2008, the store changed ownership as Andrew Gilbertson purchased Hill Ave Drugs from Dean. Following a total store renovation in 2024, including an upgraded compounding facility and a private counselling room, the pharmacy changed ownership again, this time to Gavin and Alisa Bush. Gavin has worked as a staff pharmacist with Hill Ave Drugs since 2012, and is proud to lead the next generation as an independent pharmacy owner and manager. All owners have understood the value and importance of independant business and what it means to the community. We value being a part of your health care team and are happy to be able to help out wherever we can!
