Why the Mandala? Mandala is Sanskrit for Circle. Oneness. Cosmos. The Universe.
Other than being a beautiful mesmerizing piece to look at, a mandala represents infinite meanings and is found in many cultures. Everyone shares their own personal relationship with mandalas. Personally, I love the repetition, the tediousness, the meaning, the meditativeness of it. To me the mandala is just a vibration of frequencies. I find that it’s so interesting to tune into someone’s energy and see what my interpretation of that will be. The ways to create and see a mandala are endless. Mandalas are an expression of energy. Energy has no words. It just is what it is. The lines and markings make it something tangible.
If you're drawn to mandalas, I feel it's because you're in a certain headspace of connectedness. Even if they aren't your thing, ask yourself why? Are they too busy? They are just too popular? Confusing? Just not your thing? Okay, cool. But can we appreciate the Sacredness of this symbol?
What draws you to a mandala?
This mandala I call The Vortex. A flash design I made in 2018. It was claimed later in ‘18 and finished last year. This is 6 months healed.
The wearer quotes “This design has greatly improved my self-confidence, and it symbolizes my growth with mental struggles.”
Thank you Eivery!
