Screening mammograms are now available starting at age 40.

Here's what you can expect during a BreastCheck screening mammogram appointment. Most appointments take about 20 minutes from start to finish.

๐Ÿ“Arrive at the BreastCheck screening centre
๐Ÿ“Check in at the front desk when you arrive.
๐Ÿ‘š You'll be given a gown to change into for your appointment.
๐Ÿ“‹A staff member will collect some information before your screening begins.
๐Ÿšช Next, you'll be directed to the change room area.
โœ… In your private change room, youโ€™ll put on your gown and wait for the medical radiation technologist to show you to the mammography suite.
๐Ÿ’ฌ The technologist will check in with you and answer any questions.
๐Ÿ“ธ Your mammogram begins. The technologist will guide you through each step of the imaging process.
โœ… Your mammogram is complete.
๐Ÿ‘ That's it! Most appointments take approximately 20 minutes from start to finish.
