💚 I’m so excited to share something I’m really passionate about 💚

The Food Revolution Summit 2026 just wrapped up, and Episode 1 is all about brain health—one of the most powerful reminders of how what we eat impacts every part of our lives.

As a dietitian, this is exactly why I care so deeply about helping people build healthier habits. Food isn’t just about weight or calories—it affects our mood, our focus, our memory, and even our long-term risk of disease. It truly shapes how we feel every single day.

This summit only happens once a year, and this session is FREE to watch this weekend only.

I really encourage you to take the time to watch it—it could be life-changing not just for you, but for your family and loved ones too.

If it resonates with you, please share it with others ❤️

I’d love to hear your thoughts after you watch it!

Doctors, nutritionists, and environmental experts share this year’s latest insights on food, health, and planetary survival in the annual Food Revolution Summit Docuseries.

Lent is not just about food.
It is about transformation.

Empty yourself of what distracts.
Fill yourself with what endures.

💪🌿 Include Protein at Every Meal — and Every Snack

During fasting or plant-based eating, it’s easy to focus on what we avoid and forget what our bodies still need.

👉 Try to include a source of protein at every meal and every snack:
• 🥛 Soy milk or fortified plant milk
• 🫘 Beans & lentils
• 🌱 Tofu or tempeh
• 🟢 Edamame
• 🌰 Nuts & seeds (chia, h**p, pumpkin, almonds)
• 🍲 Chickpeas & hummus
• 🌾 Quinoa & whole grains

✨ Why this matters:
✔️ Maintains muscle strength
✔️ Keeps you full and prevents overeating
✔️ Stabilizes blood sugar & energy levels
✔️ Supports metabolism and weight balance
✔️ Helps repair cells and support immunity

Even a small protein boost — a handful of nuts, hummus with veggies, or a glass of soy milk — can make a big difference.

As we journey through the holy fast, we simplify what we eat — but we must still nourish the body God entrusted to us.

🌿 Vitamin D supports immunity, mood, and strong bones.
🌿 Vitamin B12 helps prevent fatigue and supports brain and nerve health.
🌿 Omega-3s support the heart, reduce inflammation, and nourish the brain.

During a plant-based fast, these nutrients may need special attention through wise food choices and, when needed, supplementation.

✔ Take Vitamin D with healthy fats like avocado, olive oil, nuts, or tahini
✔ Add B12 through a supplement or nutritional yeast
✔ Include omega-3 sources like flaxseed, chia seeds, and h**p hearts

Most importantly, consider asking your healthcare provider to check your Vitamin D and B12 blood levels to ensure your body remains strong and well-nourished throughout the fast.

Fasting is not only about abstaining — it is about offering our whole selves to God in health, strength, and humility.

“Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit…” — 1 Corinthians 6:19

🙏As we prepare to enter the Lenten fast tomorrow for the next 55 days, I wanted to share this amazing sermon which was a powerful reminder that fasting is not just about the food we are abstaining from— it is more about the heart 🤍

We are called to slow down, repent, forgive, and return to God with sincerity. True fasting means letting go of anger, pride, and distractions, while making space for prayer, compassion, and humility.

This season invites us to:
✨ cleanse the heart, not just the plate
✨ replace judgment with mercy
✨ deepen our prayer life
✨ give generously and love intentionally
✨ seek transformation, not routine

Fasting is a spiritual reset — a chance to realign our lives with God, quiet the noise around us, and listen more closely to His voice.

May this fast renew our hearts, strengthen our faith, and draw us closer to God and one another. 🙏

✨ Orthodox Christmas: Faith, Fasting, and the Gift of Creation ✨

Today, as Orthodox Christians, we celebrate the Nativity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ—God humbling Himself to be born in a manger, bringing light, hope, and salvation to the world.

After weeks of fasting and prayer, we rejoice not only in Christ’s birth, but in the beauty of simplicity, compassion, and gratitude. As plant-powered Orthodox Christians, we honor this season by nourishing our bodies with foods that reflect humility, stewardship of creation, and care for one another—values deeply rooted in our faith.

May this Nativity fill your home with peace, your table with thankfulness, and your heart with love for God and His creation.

☦️ Christ is Born! Glorify Him! ☦️
