Dry skin and dehydrated skin get lumped together, but they're not the same thing.
✨Dry skin is a skin type. The skin naturally produces less oil, which can contribute to ongoing tightness, flaking, and roughness.
✨Dehydrated skin is a temporary condition caused by a lack of water in the skin. Any skin type can be affected, even oily or acne-prone skin.
While they can look and feel similar, understanding what your skin is actually lacking matters. Dry skin may benefit from replenishing oils and supporting the skin barrier, while dehydrated skin requires an approach focused on restoring and maintaining hydration.
At Thrive, we look at your skin as a whole to understand what’s contributing to dryness, dehydration, or a compromised skin barrier before recommending a treatment plan.
Depending on your skin’s needs, that may include medical-grade skincare, SkinBoosters, Aerolase®, chemical peels, LaseMD Ultra, or microneedling.
