✨💙 SOUL💙✨

This week at SOUL, we explored Acts 1–4 and discovered how the early Church grew through the power of the Holy Spirit! 🌟🕊️

We learned that:
🙏 Jesus promised His followers they would receive power from the Holy Spirit.
🔥 At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came in a mighty way, giving the disciples courage to share the Good News.
🤝 The believers cared for one another, prayed together, and shared what they had.
❤️ Even when life was difficult, they boldly proclaimed that Jesus is alive!

Just like the first Christians, we are called to love, encourage, and support one another as we share the hope of Jesus with the world.

“There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” – Acts 4:12

We even made some awesome necktie cards in view of Father’s Day. Reminding us of course of our compassionate Heavenly Father. Thank you to everyone who joined us for another wonderful SOUL gathering filled with faith, friendship, laughter, and love. We can’t wait to see you again! ✨

🌟 SOUL 🌟

Today at SOUL, we spent time learning from Acts 1:1–14 and reflecting on Jesus’ final instructions to His disciples before His ascension into heaven.

In this passage, Jesus reminds His followers of God’s promise and tells them to wait for the gift of the Holy Spirit. The disciples watched as Jesus was taken up into heaven, and then they returned to Jerusalem united in prayer, trusting God’s plan and waiting with hopeful hearts.

💭 What can we learn from this passage?
✨ Jesus keeps His promises.
✨ We can trust God’s timing, even when we have to wait.
✨ Prayer brings God’s people together.
✨ God has a purpose for each of us as we share His love with others.

Today we talked about how waiting can be hard, but God is always at work, even when we cannot see it. Just as the disciples waited faithfully for the Holy Spirit, we can trust God to guide us each day.
❤️ We are thankful for another wonderful morning of learning, fellowship, and growing in God’s Word together at SOUL!

SOUL today focused on Jesus’ ascension into Heaven before His sending of the Holy Spirit. Mary created & organized this craft project where you manually lift Jesus up into the cloud (quite the simple machine). Thanks to all our volunteers who helped make today a joyful time.

SOUL’s theme today was “Go & make disciples of all nations”. So Mary offered this enjoyable earth & stars art project involving painting with Qtips. Fun@ & relaxation had by all.

Finishing out the end of our Easter season with Jesus’ miraculous catch of fish. Thanks to Mary for preparing & bringing this fish art project to SOUL. Everyone had fun with this!

Special Mother’s Day card making was the project for SOUL this week. Thanks to Mary for creating, organizing & implementing this. A fitting verse from Isaiah was printed on the inside: “Can a woman forget her child…even if she forgets, yet I the Lord will not forget you.” God bless all mothers and also all women who “mother” us.

Spring has sprung! Thanks to Mary for creating this idea & gathering supplies for these wonderful paper birds. Thanks also to all of our volunteers who make SOUL a Godly success. Appropriately, these little birds were guided by the special verse from Matthew 10, where not one falls to the ground outside of our Father’s care. We are so valuable to our Lord!

Wonderful way to celebrate the Easter season with colourful “paint by Qtip” resurrection crosses. Thanks to our volunteers for gathering & implementing this fun project. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

The warm winter sun reminds us of the warmth of the true Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ, who gives us all light & life. These melted snowmen inspired a seasonal joy in the midst of the cold weather we’ve endured. Thanks to Mary for organizing these & to all of pur volunteers who helped make this project fun.
