ICYMI:

Yesterday we dropped not one, not two, but THREE very exciting pieces of news!

First, the Unity Letter signed by the majority of our members was delivered to Bethesdas Board of Directors ✊🏼

Secondly, we had an article published on Community wire about our fight and what we’ve been facing this round of negotiations.
You can see the article linked here:
https://www.communitywire.ca/2026/05/22/workers-at-bethesda-community-services-deliver-a-strong-strike-vote-launch-website-and-outreach-campaign/ 📰

And finally, we launched our new website, specifically for bargaining:
www.bethesdaservices.ca 💻

We encourage you all to check out the website, read the article and as always will keep you posted with more bargaining and conciliation updates as they happen.

In Solidarity,
Your 2977 Bargaining Committee

Hi everyone,

Today we completed picket captain and media training as part of our strike preparedness. The focus was on roles, responsibilities, and staying organized.

There are no plans to strike at this time, but we’re making sure members are informed, prepared, and unified.

Please save the date for strike vote meetings on May 11 at 8:00am, 1:00pm, and 5:00pm, more details to come.

If you have any questions or would like to get more involved, please reach out!

Today, we remember the workers who never made it home.

On the National Day of Mourning, we honour those who lost their lives, were injured, or made ill on the job and we recommit to the fight for safer workplaces.

Every name is a life. Every loss was preventable.

We will continue to organize, speak out, and hold employers and governments accountable, because every worker deserves to come home safe.

🕯️ Mourn the dead. Fight for the living.
