Osteoarthritis is more than aging joints or “wear and tear.” It’s an inflammatory process that affects the cartilage, surrounding tissues, and even the bone beneath the joint.

As cartilage breaks down, inflammation increases — often leading to pain, stiffness, swelling, and reduced mobility.

Small daily choices can help support mobility, reduce inflammation, and improve quality of life. Of course, consuming healthy foods and beverages, and maintaining a healthy weight is crucial.

A holistic approach may include:
✅ anti-inflammatory foods — berries, leafy greens, ginger, wild salmon, turmeric, healthy fats
✅ gentle movement — walking, stretching, yoga, swimming, strength training

👉 Food cravings are rarely just about food!

That pull toward sugar, salty snacks, or comfort foods often runs deeper than hunger. It can be the body’s response to stress, overwhelm, emotional pain, unresolved experiences, fatigue, or the need for comfort and regulation.

So often, we blame ourselves: “Why can’t I just have more willpower?” When we address the emotion beneath the craving, everything begins to shift.

👉 Cravings are communicating. Your body and nervous system are signalling that something beneath the surface needs attention, compassion, and support.

👉 This is where Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT ) and Picture Tapping Technique (PTT)are powerful tools for change.

👉 By gently working with the emotional roots of cravings, these evidence-based approaches can help reduce the intensity of urges, calm the stress response, and create space for conscious choice instead of automatic reaction.

Gogi Berry Superfood Muffins - Nourishment you can feel—supporting body, mind, and energy with every bite. 😋👩‍🍳

✅ These healthy, moist goji berry muffins are more than just a treat; they’re a simple way to fuel your body with whole, intentional ingredients. Rich in antioxidants and gentle nourishment, they support sustained energy and overall well-being.

Ingredients:
2 ½ cups almond flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp sea salt
¼ cup arrowroot powder
½ cup gogi berries
1 tsp cinnamon
3 large eggs (room temperature)
⅓ cup applesauce or yogurt
¼ cup maple syrup or honey
¼ cup coconut oil (melted)
⅓ cup milk (milk of choice)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar (ACV)

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Use a silicone 12-count muffin pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine almond flour, arrowroot powder, baking soda, baking powder, sea salt, gogi berries, and cinnamon.
3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, applesauce, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, milk, vanilla, and apple cider vinegar.
4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
5. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups. Bake for 20–22 minutes until lightly golden brown, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Let cool in the pan for 5–10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Somewhere along the way, many of us were taught to trade wonder for certainty, curiosity for control, and presence for productivity.

Thich Nhat Hanh Quote Reminder😁

Joy isn’t something we stumble upon only when life is good. It’s something we tend to, like a garden.

In my opinion and experience, there is a deeper meaning. Joy lives in the small, intentional moments. But if we’re constantly in survival mode, rushing, worrying, or disconnected from ourselves, we miss it.

Cultivating joy is a practice.
👉 choosing presence over distraction
👉 softening the nervous system
👉 becoming aware of what feels nourishing versus draining
👉 gently redirecting the mind when it spirals

When we practice coming home to ourselves again and again, we begin to recognize joy, allow it, and then eventually live from it.

Tools like EFT, PTT and mindful awareness become so powerful. They help clear the internal noise so joy has space to rise. Joy isn’t absent; it’s often just buried.
