A lifetime of generosity. A legacy of Impact. 💙

Born and raised in Elgin County, Barbara Blewett believed deeply in caring for the community she called home.

Alongside her husband, Ted, and her parents, Clara and Ottie Underhill, Barbara shared a longstanding connection to STEGH and a belief in supporting local healthcare.

Over the years, their generosity helped strengthen care for countless patients and families. Most recently, Barbara’s transformational legacy gift fully funded a new mammography machine at STEGH, helping ensure patients can continue to access enhanced breast imaging close to home for years to come.

From the mid-2010s to today, our community has continued to shape the future of care at STEGH.

Through Transforming Tomorrow and many other priority projects, donor support has helped advance care across our hospital, including Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency Department readiness, Ophthalmology services, NICU care, ICU care and more.
