"Everyone just mumbles these days..." Sound familiar? 😅👂

As hearing care professionals, we hear these excuses every single day! The truth is, gradual hearing loss often sneaks up in subtle ways—like struggling to follow conversations in noisy restaurants or constantly asking people to repeat themselves.

Swipe through to see if you’ve said (or heard) any of these lately! ➡️

Buying hearing aids is only step one. What you do next matters most.
🛑If you’re not getting the performance you expected from your devices, one of these 5 common habits might be holding you back:
1️⃣ Wearing them occasionally (your brain needs daily practice to adapt!)
2️⃣ Expecting perfection on day one (adjustments are part of the journey)
3️⃣ Skipping follow-ups (small tweaks make a massive difference)
4️⃣ Ignoring wax & moisture buildup (maintenance keeps sound clear)
5️⃣ Cranking the volume instead of tuning (louder isn't always clearer)
💡 The right device is only half the equation—the right support is the other.

Finding compassionate hearing care shouldn’t cost a fortune, and you should never feel rushed through your appointment. 💙

Hearing practitioner John at our White Rock clinic believes in taking the time to listen, explain, and ensure every client feels genuinely supported.

Here is what a recent client had to say about their experience with John and the Pardon Me Hearing team:

"Had the best experience yesterday at Pardon Me Hearing. John was so professional but very caring. I was given a pair of almost new top of the line hearing aids. Other places wanted exorbitant prices to readjust for my needs. Pardon Me Hearing was so affordable and so willing to set them up for me. I also had a hearing test and John explained my hearing loss to me in detail that I understood. He also took time with me to understand how the hearing aids work and set up the app for me. I didn’t feel rushed, I was heard and it was an overall great experience. Thanks!"

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story with us!

Recently, we’ve had clients under 20 and under 30 come into our North Vancouver clinic taking charge of their hearing health. Hearing loss can happen at any stage of life—and catching it early makes a world of difference!

Here’s what many people don’t know:
🔹 Workplace Accessibility: If hearing challenges are affecting your job, communication, or everyday life, there are government programs in BC (and across Canada) that can help cover or absorb the cost of hearing aids—even if you work part-time or volunteer!
🔹 Baseline Checks Matter: Getting your hearing tested early gives you a benchmark for your long-term health.

Don’t let hesitation hold you back from living and working comfortably.

3 things your audiologist wants you to know about your hearing health 👇✨

1️⃣ Hearing loss isn’t always about volume: Often, it’s about clarity. You might hear people speaking fine, but background noise or certain frequencies sound muffled or garbled.
2️⃣ Your brain plays a big role: When you start addressing hearing loss, your brain actually has to relearn how to process certain sounds it hasn't heard in a while! 🧠
3️⃣ You know your ears best: You’re the expert on how your daily life feels. If conversations feel like extra work lately, trust your gut.

Knowing where your hearing stands is simply a smart first step toward staying connected with the people and activities you love. 🧡

At Pardon Me Hearing, we don't believe you should have to sacrifice your confidence—or your savings—to hear life clearly. We’re proudly Canadian, family-owned, and built on a simple promise: Better Hearing. Spend Less.
