I’m incredibly excited, honoured and honestly a little shocked to share that On The Go Nurse has been nominated for a 2026 Outstanding Business Achievement Award!

To the anonymous person who took the time to nominate me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Knowing that someone in our community sees the impact of my work means more to me than I can put into words.

I truly love what I do. Every long day, challenge and step outside my comfort zone has been worth it. On The Go Nurse was built by following my heart, working hard and genuinely wanting to make a difference in the lives of every client and family I have the privilege of supporting.

Being recognized by the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce alongside so many outstanding local businesses is something I’m incredibly proud of. I’m still pinching myself!

Thank you to my clients, families, friends and community for trusting me, encouraging me and believing in what I’m building. This nomination belongs to all of you, too.

Happy Birthday to Amy!

Apparently one of the first things Amy is going to learn about working with me is that I LOVE birthdays… which makes it even funnier that we spent the afternoon together today and she never once mentioned it was hers! 😂

Amy is the newest additions to On The Go Nurse, and already I’m so grateful for the enthusiasm, support and belief she has brought to what we’re building.

Happy Birthday, Amy! I’m so happy to have you as part of this next chapter of On The Go Nurse.

The weather didn’t stop the fun at Sombra Days!
What a weekend! Rain or shine, Sombra knows how to come together, have fun and show what community is all about.
As a proud lifelong Sombra resident, with generations of my family rooted in this community, giving back means so much to me. Sombra and our downriver communities aren’t just where I run my business — this is home. ♥️
I’m so proud that On The Go Nurse could give back this weekend by volunteering time, helping coordinate over 100 volunteer shifts, working the bar, organizing the Kids Zone and doing whatever was needed to keep the fun going!
Volunteers truly are the heart of our community. Seeing so many people show up, work together and refuse to let a little weather ruin the weekend reminded me exactly why I’m so proud to call Sombra and St. Clair Township home.
Thank you to every organizer, volunteer, sponsor, musician, vendor and community member who made Sombra Days happen. We’re proud to be part of this community and excited to keep showing up, volunteering and giving back wherever we can. ♥️

💙 June is Seniors Month 💙

June is a time to celebrate the incredible seniors who have shaped our families, built our communities, and continue to inspire us every day.

Working with seniors has taught me that every person has a story worth hearing, wisdom worth sharing, and a legacy worth celebrating. From laughter around the kitchen table to life lessons learned through decades of experience, I am constantly reminded of the strength, resilience, and kindness that exists within our senior population.

At On The Go Nurse, seniors are at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s nursing foot care, wellness visits, health education, or simply providing a listening ear, it is a privilege to support older adults in maintaining their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

This month, and every month, we celebrate the seniors who continue to make our communities stronger.

Thank you for your trust, your stories, and the impact you’ve had on so many lives. 💙

Happy Seniors Month!

💙 Today is Lou Gehrig Day. 💙

As a nurse and daughter, I’ve had the privilege of caring for many individuals living with life-changing illnesses and supporting the families who walk alongside them.

ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), often known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a devastating disease that slowly takes away a person’s ability to move, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. Yet what it can never take away is the strength, courage, and spirit of those living with it.

Today, I honour the individuals and families who face ALS with incredible resilience every single day. I also recognize the caregivers, spouses, children, friends, and healthcare teams who provide unwavering support through the challenges this disease brings.

Working in the community has been a constant reminder to me that behind every diagnosis is a person with a story, a family with hopes, and a life that deserves dignity, compassion, and quality care.

Take a moment today to learn about ALS, support research, or simply hold space for those affected by this disease.

💙 To those living with ALS and the families who love them: you are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone.

Happy National Nursing Week 💙

As an independent nurse working solo in the community, this week feels especially meaningful to me.

While many of my days are spent working one-on-one with clients through On The Go Nurse, nursing is never truly done alone. Behind every nurse is a network of incredible peers, mentors, educators, healthcare teams, and friends who continue to inspire, support, and collaborate along the way.

I’m incredibly thankful for the nurses and healthcare professionals who have shared their knowledge, answered my questions, encouraged my growth, and reminded me of the power of compassionate care. The collaboration within healthcare professionals is something I never take for granted.

To my clients and families, thank you for trusting me to walk alongside you in your care journey. Being welcomed into your homes and lives is a privilege I deeply value.

This week is a reminder that nursing is more than a career. It’s connection, advocacy, lifelong learning, and heart.

To every healthcare professional making a difference in big and small ways every day: thank you for all that you do. Your work matters more than you know.

Happy Nursing Week 🤍

Fall Prevention Starts With Your Feet 👣

As a footcare nurse, I see it all the time —
foot pain, long nails, or poor footwear quietly changing how people walk.

Small changes in your gait = BIG fall risk.

👣 Your feet are your foundation.
If they’re not right… your balance isn’t either.

The good news?
Many falls are preventable with proper footcare and education.

Something only friends know about me..I truly love a certificate with my name on it.

More importantly, I love learning. When you’re passionate about what you do, education becomes something you genuinely enjoy.

Professional development is an essential part of delivering high-quality care and that’s exactly what my clients deserve.

Continuing to grow my knowledge allows me to provide the most current, safe, and effective foot care practices, while also strengthening the foundation of my business.

I’m especially grateful to continue learning alongside my long-time preceptor and friend, whose mentorship continues to guide and support me years later.

👣 Thank you to my clients for investing in me—so I can continue investing in you.
