Glimmers are the opposite of grief triggers.Begin to look for the glimmers in your day. You know those moments that remind you to stop and enjoy the good in the day. In acute grief, a glimmer is something that is just okay. Often nature is the source of noticing glimmers. Or grandchildren. Or pets. Grief is heavy and hurts so it helps to purposefully notice a few glimmers everyday. This acts as a counterbalance and begins the process of softening and opening space within. Forcing gratitude is almost impossible at this time, but noticing the part of the day that is not hurting really helps your mind and heart.
