The root cause was never your “tight” muscles…

(It wasn’t the “weak” ones either.)

Because if stretching or strengthening actually worked long-term, you wouldn’t still be dealing with chronic aches. You wouldn't be stuck in that frustrating loop of doing the same exercises over and over, just to end up right back where you started.

Think about it: if stretching a tight muscle or strengthening a weak one actually fixed the breakdown, you would already be fully recovered. Instead, you are caught in a cycle of temporary relief followed by the exact same tightness or ache the next time you try to train or get busy.

The reality is that your body functions as an interconnected system. A "tight" or "weak" muscle is almost always a secondary symptom—a protective reaction because a joint somewhere else isn't moving properly or is forcing another area to overwork.

Until you assess and change the global movement mechanics, the symptom will keep coming back.

If you want long-term solutions that actually address the root cause of your problem, DM us ROOT!

FYI: Your chiro appointment should probably last longer than 90 seconds 👀

Maybe this feels familiar…

You walk into your appointment. Get shown into a room. Lay face down. Wait.
A quick check in.
A couple of adjustments.
Done.

Same treatment as last time.
And the time before that.
But this time something was different.
Your pain wasn’t the same.
It was getting worse.

Maybe now it’s even travelling into your leg.

Except… nobody asked.

You never had the chance to explain what changed.
You left without understanding what was causing your pain.
And without a plan for why it keeps coming back.

Before you know it, your appointment is over.

You check your phone…

Less than 5 minutes in the clinic.

Less than 2 minutes with your clinician.

This is a story we hear all the time.

For some people, quick adjustments are exactly what they need.
But the people who come to us are usually looking for something more.

More listening.

More answers.

More understanding.

Because if your pain is changing, your care should too.

If you want to understand WHY your pain is there and what it actually takes to stop it coming back, we’d love to help.

You don’t trust your back to get you through a full WOD anymore… and that’s not normal

You feel it before you even start
“Is this going to tighten up today?”
“Am I going to have to stop early again?”
So you adjust

You skip certain lifts
You hold back more than you want to
You never really push like you used to

And that’s the frustrating part
Because it’s not just about pain

It’s about not feeling confident in your body anymore
Like you’re always one movement away from it flaring up

That’s not something you should have to work around forever

If this sounds familiar, DM BACK

Somehow that’s become normal for a lot of people.

Deadlift.
Stretch your back.

Squat.
Stretch your back.

Finish a set.
Walk around trying to loosen it up before the next one.

And at some point you stop asking:

“Why does this keep happening?”

Because you get so used to managing it.

That’s usually the frustrating part.

Not just the tightness itself.

The fact that you can’t just train without constantly thinking about your back anymore.

So you warm up longer.
Modify workouts.
Avoid certain movements.

And little by little…
you stop trusting your body the way you used to.

That’s not something you should just have to work around forever.

05/28/2026

You notice every little feeling now.
How tight it feels.

Whether it’s starting to flare up.
How much longer before it shows up again.

So instead of actually enjoying the run…
part of you is just waiting for your back to tighten up.

That’s what wears people down over time.
Not just the discomfort itself.

The fact that something that used to feel freeing now feels stressful.
So you stretch more.
Warm up longer.
Try to manage it better.

But when the same pattern keeps showing up every run…
there’s usually a reason for that.
And most of the time, it’s bigger than just “tight muscles.”

05/27/2026

You’ve tried stretching your back… so why does it keep tightening up again?

You stop mid-run or after a set in the gym
and stretch it out

It feels better for a bit
Then 10 minutes later
it’s right back

That’s the frustrating part
Because it feels like you’re doing the right thing
but nothing is actually changing

That tightness isn’t the problem
It’s your back picking up for something else that isn’t doing its job
So it tightens up to keep you moving
And until that changes
it’s going to keep happening

If this keeps showing up no matter what you try, DM BACK

05/26/2026

The most frustrating part about your back pain is that you’ve already tried fixing it.

You stretched it. Strengthened it. Rested it.
Maybe it even felt better for a week or two.

Then you went back to normal life… and it came right back again.

That’s the cycle people get stuck in.
Not because they aren’t trying hard enough. Because most treatments focus on calming things down… not understanding why your back keeps getting overloaded in the first place.

So you end up doing more exercises. More stretching. More temporary fixes.
But never actually feeling confident it’s gone.

That’s why so many active people feel stuck.
Not because they haven’t tried. Because nobody ever explained why it keeps happening.

If this cycle sounds familiar, DM MOVE.

If your shoulder bothers you overhead,
stop pushing through it and try this first.

Most overhead pain isn’t just about the shoulder.

It’s how the shoulder blade moves underneath it.

If that’s off...
your shoulder takes more stress than it should.

That’s where the pinching comes from.

Before your next workout, try this.

A controlled wall-based movement
that helps your shoulder blade move the way it’s supposed to.

Build control there first then go back overhead.

Save this and test it before your next upper body session.

If your shoulder bothers you overhead, stop pushing through it and try this first.

Most overhead pain is not just about the shoulder itself. It is about how your shoulder blade moves underneath it.

Your body works as an interconnected system, and your shoulder blade must dynamically rotate to clear space for your arm to lift.

If that movement mechanic is off, your shoulder joint absorbs an immense amount of extra stress.

Over time, that constant mechanical compensation is exactly what causes that frustrating "pinching" feeling during overhead lifts.

Instead of treating the symptom with a temporary Band-Aid approach, we need to focus on how your joints coordinate together.

Try a controlled wall drill to help the shoulder blade move the way it is supposed to. Build stability and control there first, then go back to your overhead lifts. When you unlock the right movement mechanics, your shoulders can stop doing all the overworked compensation.

If your pain keeps coming back
It’s because the REAL issue
Was never actually solved.

It settles down.
You feel better.

Then you go back to normal
and it shows up again.

Same spot.
Same pattern.

That’s not bad luck.

The real problem is still there.

Until that changes
the cycle doesn’t.

That’s why it always comes back
when you get active again.

Does your pain follow the same pattern every time? Comment below.
