have won many awards for various types of tattoos but mostly for color, cover up and portrait work. We have strived to set an extremely high standard in Saskatoon as well we believe in integrity by not doing something that will look terrible, you will regret or just for money. Alberta Health Services shut down a basement tattoo parlour called Harsh Tattooz.

AND WHEREAS such inspection disclosed that the following conditions exist in and about the above noted premises which are or may become injurious or dangerous to the public health or which might hinder in any manner the prevention or suppression of disease, namely:

• The operator failed to notify Alberta Health Services of the existence of the home-based tattoo parlor.

• A low-level disinfectant was not available for non-critical items such as work surfaces and the client bed.

• An antiseptic was not available to clean clients’ skin before performing tattoo services that involve puncturing the client’s skin.

• Soap at the handwashing sink had been diluted with water.

• A reusable towel was being used for drying clients’ hands at the handwashing sink in the bathroom. Personal clothing was stored on top of the reusable towel on the towel bar.

• Sterility assurance documentation from sterile cartridges was not being kept with client records.

• There were a bed and a stool that was constructed with untreated wood in the service area.

• There were no written procedures for cleansing skin, applying antiseptic and post-service care and accidental skin cuts or punctures.

• A sharps container was not available to safely discard used needles.

• The tattoo machine was being used while the handle was only partially covered with barrier protection.

• There was no barrier protection for the adjustable lamp while tattooing was in progress.

Big News……. I will be piercing at Electric Llama starting July 6th in Prince Albert. I will be back in the fall at Tantrix but will continue in Prince Albert as well.
