Watching your dog experience a seizure can be frightening, but with the right veterinary care, many dogs with epilepsy can continue to enjoy happy, comfortable lives. 🐾

Because every dog is different, managing seizures may require an individualized approach. Compounded veterinary medications may give veterinarians additional flexibility by providing:
• Customized strengths based on a pet’s needs
• Easier-to-administer dosage forms
• Pet-friendly flavoring options
• Smaller capsules for easier dosing
• Specialized formulations when commercially available options aren’t the right fit

Consistency can be especially important when managing canine epilepsy, and making medication easier to give can help pet owners stay on track with their veterinarian’s treatment plan.

Skin conditions can affect more than appearance. They can impact comfort, confidence, and emotional well-being, too.

Concerns such as acne, rosacea, scars, stretch marks, and changes in pigmentation can have different causes, but many involve factors such as inflammation, disruption of the skin barrier, collagen changes, or pigment imbalance.

Because skin health can be complex, treatment is rarely one-size-fits-all.

If you’re dealing with an ongoing skin concern, talk with your healthcare provider and ask our compounding pharmacist about customized dermatology options that may be available to support your individual needs.

Living with a gastrointestinal condition can affect much more than digestion.

Conditions such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and a**l fissures may cause symptoms including abdominal pain, changes in bowel habits, fatigue, bloating, discomfort, or painful bowel movements that can interfere with work, travel, meals, and everyday activities.

For some patients, commercially available medications may not provide the strength, dosage form, or delivery method their provider prefers. Compounding allows pharmacists to prepare customized prescriptions based on a patient’s individual needs and their healthcare provider’s directions.

If you or someone you care for is managing a gastrointestinal condition, talk with your healthcare provider and ask our compounding pharmacist about customized prescription options that may be available.

Healthy aging isn’t just about living longer. It’s about living with strength, clarity, independence, and quality of life for as many years as possible. 💙

Along with the foundations of healthy aging, including nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management, emerging longevity research continues to explore therapies such as:
• Low-dose naltrexone (LDN)
• Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT)
• Methylene blue
• Professional-grade nutritional supplements

These options may support areas such as cellular energy, metabolism, cognitive health, inflammation, and hormone balance when used appropriately under the guidance of a healthcare provider.

Interested in learning more about personalized healthy aging options? Talk with our compounding pharmacists about available therapies and how we can work with you and your provider to support your health goals.

Perimenopause can look different for every woman, and symptoms may change over time.

Hot flashes, night sweats, disrupted sleep, mood changes, irregular periods, vaginal dryness, and changes in concentration or energy can all be part of the transition.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to care. Depending on your symptoms, health history, and individual needs, your healthcare provider may discuss lifestyle changes, nonhormonal options, FDA-approved hormone therapy, or, when appropriate, a customized compounded prescription.

Have questions about compounded hormone options? Talk with our compounding pharmacist to learn more and discuss what may be available with a prescription from your healthcare provider.

We hear this all the time: “I thought I was just stressed.”

But when your body feels constantly tired, overwhelmed, and unable to recover, it may be worth taking a closer look.
Burnout can show up physically, not just mentally, and factors such as sleep, blood sugar balance, stress, nutrition, and hormones may all play a role in how you feel.

Supporting your body may include:
- Prioritizing consistent, restorative sleep
- Keeping blood sugar balanced
- Finding realistic ways to manage stress
- Considering targeted supplementation when appropriate
- Exploring hormone testing, including cortisol and DHEA, with a qualified provider

If you’ve been pushing through fatigue and hoping it gets better on its own, you don’t have to keep guessing about what your body may be telling you. Talk with our team to learn more.

Low-dose naltrexone, or LDN, uses a much smaller dose of naltrexone than standard therapy, typically about 1–5 mg rather than 50–100 mg.

At these lower doses, LDN is being explored for its potential effects on endorphin production, pain signaling, and immune regulation. Some patients and providers discuss LDN in connection with chronic pain, sleep, mobility, cognitive clarity, and certain autoimmune or inflammatory conditions, including Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.

LDN is generally considered well-tolerated, though side effects such as vivid dreams or headaches may occur and are often mild and temporary.

Because these lower strengths are not commercially available, LDN is typically prepared by a compounding pharmacy based on a valid prescription from a licensed provider.

Talk with your healthcare provider and our pharmacist to learn whether LDN may be appropriate for your individual needs.

A healthy gut can play an important role in digestion, immune function, mood, and metabolic health. Supporting it does not have to mean completely changing your routine overnight.

Simple, consistent habits can add up over time:
• Eat a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds
• Prioritize fiber-rich and fermented foods
• Stay hydrated and move your body regularly
• Support healthy sleep and stress-management routines
• Limit highly processed foods and added sugars
• Slow down, eat mindfully, and track what works for you

Everyone’s needs are different, so a personalized approach can help you identify sustainable habits that support your overall wellness and weight-management goals. Talk to our pharmacist to see how we may be able to help support your gut.

By August, all that summer fun may be starting to show on your skin.

Heat, sweat, dehydration, sun exposure, bug bites, and time spent outdoors can contribute to dry patches, peeling, rashes, breakouts, and other skin concerns. With back-to-school season approaching, many people are also looking for ways to address skin issues and feel more confident heading into a new routine.

Customized dermatology preparations may offer options tailored to an individual’s specific skin needs, preferred dosage form, and treatment plan. Talk with your healthcare provider to learn whether a compounded medication may be appropriate for you.

Pain in pets can result from injuries, surgery, cancer, arthritis, or age-related changes. Because animals cannot tell us when they are uncomfortable, signs such as limping, decreased appetite, withdrawal, or changes in behaviour can be easy to overlook.

Every pet is different, and factors such as size, breed, health status, and ability to tolerate medication can affect treatment. When commercially available options are not the right strength, dosage form, or fit, a veterinarian may prescribe a compounded medication customized to the animal’s individual needs.

Learn how compounded medications may support individualized pet pain management.
