It's that time!

I am absolutely thrilled to be back in the hosting chair for Meeting of Minds: The Thriving Practice Edition - and this May's conversation is one I am very much looking forward to.

It is a true privilege and honour to interview my dear friend and colleague Georgie Hunt Barnwell for what I know will be an inspiring and deeply resonant discussion titled "Leveraging Partnerships to Build Your Practice."

As the saying goes...“If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.” Georgie knows the power of partnerships for growing a business. She has leveraged and fostered an important business relationship that allows her to support women experiencing cancer from across the globe. This opportunity has opened additional doors for her, including an invitation to speak at the Calm Over Cancer Summit in 2025.

Georgie will also share some deeply personal insights into her own work with her inner critic and a debilitating belief that she needed to be "fixed." Through her own personal transformation, she has found that her professional growth and success have been a byproduct of her personal journey and evolution. As her relationship with herself has deepened, so too has the depth of her work and practice with clients. For Georgie, EFT isn't just a self-regulation tool, but rather a pathway for deep and lasting transformation - both personally and professionally.

Last week I was both honoured and elated to return as a speaker to the 2026 AWÂSIS Indigenous Educators Conference, sharing space with over 100 attendees, engaging in an important and necessary discussion on emotional intelligence.

In my session titled Nurturing Emotional Intelligence in Students: Implementing Self-regulation Tools in the Classroom, I introduced an expanded model and pathway of EQ inspired by Daniel Goleman's model and designed specifically for educators but relevant across all professional sectors and spaces.

At its heart, this model reveals something both humbling and empowering: a teacher's greatest influence in the classroom isn't their curriculum or credentials, it's the quality of connection and co-regulation they bring to every interaction with every student.

While I left the session absolutely buzzing from the engagement and participation, I hope my reminder to teachers was clear: the most important thing you'll ever bring to your students isn't a lesson plan. It's YOU - regulated, connected, and present.

Thank you again to the AWÂSIS Conference Committee for the invitation and the beautiful presenter gift. 💛

Meeting of Minds: The Thriving Practice Edition continues tomorrow as my colleague and co-host Naghma Qureshi interviews Tash Alexander, a newly qualified EFT trainer and mentor through .

With a background in physiotherapy and medical education, Tash leverages her understanding of neurophysiology and somatics in her EFT practice. She has more than a decade of experience facilitating workshops with over 20 years in education. As a new trainer, Tash will bring her years of experience and expertise in the field to serve the training and development of new EFT practitioners with clinical confidence, ethical precision, and a clear understanding of the effective application of EFT within a professional scope of practice.

Tomorrow's discussion, titled "Clearing Blocks to Professional Growth" will invite practitioners to take a look inwards at what might be holding them back from their own professional evolution. Reflecting on her own professional journey, Tash will share how addressing her inner barriers using EFT shifted her relationship with work, effort, and success and opened up new opportunities for growth with greater ease, trust, and balance.

EFT International members, you do NOT want to miss this interview tomorrow, Friday, April 17th @ 10AM UK Time.

In a world that will have you exhausted chasing information and looking outside you for the wisdom that is already internal and eternal...turn inwards. The answers will come from within, not from without.

Join us tomorrow for the second session of EFT International's year-long Meeting of Minds: The Thriving Practice series!

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Bruno Sade, an Accredited Certified Advanced EFT Practitioner and Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner with a background in mental health as a licensed clinical psychologist in Argentina.

Our discussion with Bruno will centre around the theme of sustainability as he shares how he has aligned his marketing strategy with this key principle in both his practice and lifestyle.

A central aspect of Bruno’s professional journey has been the integration of ongoing reflection into his work. For him, writing has served as a valuable tool for deepening his clinical thinking while also providing a sustainable, values-aligned approach to visibility and marketing. Instead of relying on hype or sales-driven tactics, he focuses on sharing his unique perspective and creating environments where potential clients feel safe, understood, and unpressured.

I am particularly excited to hear Bruno's insights on the often pressurized topic of 'generalist versus niche', as he shares the benefits he has discovered by not pursuing a specific or specialized niche, highlighting the value of reaching a broader audience and client base.

If you are an EFT International member, you are not going to want to miss this upcoming session! We go live at 6PM UK Time tomorrow, Friday, March 20th.

Sharing because I want to see this cute face on my grid every dang day! 🤗🥲

It has been one whole month since our little buddy crossed over the rainbow bridge, and it still doesn’t feel real some days.

The expectation of seeing his sleeping face in the window when we pull into the driveway. The way I look in the direction of his bed when I come into the living room or up the stairs. The complete change in our morning and evening routines.

My brain has yet to fully compute the reality that he is not here and there is constant heartbreak as we experience a new normal without our favourite old man. But he was and is absolutely worth the heartache.

In reflecting on the many gifts and lessons we have learned from Wrigley, one of the biggest has been patience. In his last year, we had to learn to go at Wrigley’s new pace, and that was a real adjustment. We also had to learn to get comfortable with being uncomfortable, and that included talking about death and what was best for Wrigley, not for us.

Individually, my partner and I both gave Wrigley permission to go when it was his time – neither one of us wanted to have to make that decision and take one minute or second away from him if he wasn’t ready to go.

I asked him to stay until Christmas, and he gave us an extra 30 days. I wish we had more time, but his body didn’t have it in him.

I don’t know if this is a female thing, AD[H]D thing, or a Candace thing (or all of the above), but I don’t think I realized how much purpose I found in being his (sometimes primary) caregiver, especially at the end. It was a joy to love and be loved by Wrigley.

The heartbreak is real.

The grief is real.

But so is the immense love, gratitude, and appreciation to have had Wrigley for as long as we did.

Life is a little less colourful lately, but that’s okay. 🌈⭐️🐶

Ps. Thank you for snapping these photos when you did. 🤎🤍🖤

EFT International's Meeting of Minds (MoM) 2026 web series, The Thriving Practice Edition launches on Friday, February 20th @ 6PM UK Time, with our first guest, Advanced, Certified and Accredited Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Practitioner, Kathleen Weber. I am honoured to be one of two hosts this year alongside fellow EFTi Advanced Practitioner, Naghma Qureshi.

We all know, one strategy does NOT fit all when launching and growing a successful EFT practice (or any business)!

Each month, we will be talking to a different EFT Practitioner, getting a glimpse into their mindset, strategies, and personal journeys that have contributed to their success. This series goes beyond generic, cookie-cutter "how to launch a business"; it showcases the unique experiences of remarkable practitioners from around the world that will surely inspire new insights and thoughtful conversations.

This webinar series is ONLY available to EFT International members. To register, log in through eftinternational.org > Members Area > Community > Meeting of Minds Series > Sign-Up Here Button – and remember to save the event in calendar!

We hope you will join us for these inspiring monthly conversations designed to support EFT practitioners in building thriving, sustainable, and fulfilling practices. As your hosts, Naghma and I are looking forward to leading these discussions, which are sure to spark new ideas, foster learning, and strengthen our community of practitioners and professionals.

See you Friday!

The Board of Directors needs your support for this year's national initiative, The Push Up Challenge (.ca )

"Since 2024, over 120,000 Canadians have participated in The Push-Up Challenge and together, we've raised over $6 million dollars for the Canadian Mental Health Association."

Dollars raised go to essential mental health programming for individuals and families in our community including support groups, employment and vocational programming, and counseling services. These programs are offered free and are live changing and life saving.

The Push-Up Challenge is more than just getting active and doing push-ups. This initiative is about supporting folks who need our support. The rates of mental illness are staggering in our country and we all likely know someone who is struggling or has struggled in the past. This person might be a friend, loved one, co-worker...or you. Everyone deserves support and free access to that support, including you. ❤️

Please support me and the CMHA Board team!

Ps. We are in a friendly competition with the CMHA Regina Board and we CAN NOT let them win!

Continuing our focus of the parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS) also known as the 'rest-digest-repair' system...

Coming up!

I am so excited to hang out with such a great crew!

"Reclaiming our right to rest becomes more than just an act of self-care; it becomes a form of rebellion against a culture that promotes self-exploitation." -

Rest in the face of diet culture is a rebellion against an oppressive system that wants us rooted in shame, constantly anxious and exhausted, and preoccupied with attaining unrealistic beauty standards at the cost of our well-being.

Rest in the face of diet culture is a clear 'NO!' to corporations that prey on and profit from folks' insecurities through diet/fitness trends, products, supplements, pharmaceuticals, etc.

Rest in the face of diet culture is a reclamation of power, connection to Self, connection with our beautiful-as-they-are bodies, and autonomy over our health and well-being, including mental health.

See you Wednesday
Alumni crew!
