I’m offering in-person nutrition consults at Cochrane Community Chiropractic and Wellness, one day a week.

Up until now every Blueprint session has been over Zoom, so this is a new chapter. Whether you’re a teen athlete looking to feel stronger and more consistent, or a woman trying to figure out what your body’s been trying to tell you for years, I’d love to sit down with you in person.

Spots are limited to one day a week, so if you’ve been wanting to book, now’s a great time.

A little chocolate pudding history 💛

This one goes back to my grandma’s kitchen. It’s the recipe I reach for when one of my kids is having a rough day - because some things, chocolate pudding included, are just built to comfort.

These days my kids know the drill when they see me in the kitchen: “what did you add to this?” I’m always looking for simple swaps that sneak more nutrition into the foods we already love- and this time, grandma’s pudding was the lucky victim. Traded the classic stovetop custard for chia seeds, still all that rich cocoa flavor, but now with fiber, omega-3s, and staying power.

My kid gave me the skeptical face when she saw the texture… then asked for seconds before the bowl was empty. That’s the real test.

Chocolate Chia Pudding
Ingredients:

• 2 cups milk
• 3 Tbsp maple syrup
• 3 Tbsp cocoa powder
• ⅛ tsp sea salt
• 1 tsp butter
• 1 tsp vanilla
• ½ cup chia seeds

Instructions:

1. Heat milk, maple syrup, cocoa, and salt to near boil.
2. Remove from heat. Add chia seeds and vanilla.
3. Let sit 30 minutes to allow chia to thicken (add more chia if you like it extra thick).

What’s a recipe from your family you’ve “healthified”? Tell me in the comments 👇

REAGAN’S ODD BUNCHER REPORT 🧾

Nearly one year in, and here’s what my Odd Bunch | Affordable Produce Delivery 🇨🇦 habit has added up to: $490 saved on groceries, 525 lbs of produce rescued (that’s roughly 438 meals!), and 35 lbs donated back into the community.

But the numbers aren’t even my favorite part. Here’s what I actually love about it:

🍎 It rescues produce grocery stores decided wasn’t “pretty enough” A small apple, an oddly shaped carrot. Still nutritious. Still delicious. Just not catwalk material.

💰 $20/week for a full box of produce. That’s it.

🎲 You get what you get and you don’t throw a fit (one trade allowed per week) -which sounds simple but it’s actually pushed me to try new recipes and ingredients I never would’ve picked myself.

🌱 It’s added plant diversity to my plate -which, if you’ve heard me talk about gut health, you know is half the battle.

Every box you keep adds to this. Link in bio to start yours. 👇

You know something needs to change. You’re tired, bloated, and running on fumes - but looking at a big wellness package or trying to pick the “right” program feels like just another chore on an already massive to-do list.
I get it. Investing in your health can feel intimidating when you aren’t sure what your body actually needs yet - or if we’re even the right fit to work together.
So, let’s take the pressure off. 🌿
I just added a Free 15-Minute Discovery Call right at the top of my website. No pressure, no sales push - just a chance to chat, share what’s been going on, and figure out your best next step.
And if you’re ready to start small with The Sampler ($111) to test the waters? Here’s my promise to you:
💛If you decide to upgrade to a larger Blueprint package within 30 days of your Sampler session, I’ll credit the full $111 directly toward your new package.
Think of it as a zero-risk way to test-drive support that actually fits your life.
Head to the link in my bio, hit the “Book Free Call” button at the top of my site, and let’s figure it out together. 💛

The time a jar of beet pickles almost sent toddler-me to the ER.

I ate an entire jar at grandma’s house. Later that day I also took a tumble and banged my back. Grandma never mentioned the beet situation to my mom. So at the next diaper change, my mom saw… alarming colors… and was convinced I’d damaged a kidney. Nearly an ER trip. It was just beets.

Turns out I’m one of the 10-14% of people who get “beeturia” (yes, that’s the real medical term for pink or red urine/stool after eating beets). Been part of this club since I could walk, apparently.

Here’s the mechanism, and it’s more interesting than “kidney failure”: the pigments in beets (betalains) are supposed to get broken down before they’re absorbed, stomach acid plays a role in that. In most people, that’s exactly what happens and nothing shows up on the other end. But here’s the stat that makes this more than a party trick: while beeturia shows up in 10-14% of the general population, that number jumps to 66-80% in people with iron-deficiency anemia.

That shaky, quiet, “I need food NOW” feeling mid-workout isn’t you being dramatic, it’s glycogen running out. Here’s what I got right and what I missed this time: I normally pack snacks in my bag before we head out, but this time I didn’t (they were in the car), and by the time we were fighting the wind back to shore, I was paying for it. You never know when an adventure’s going to run longer than planned, or when your body’s going to need more than you budgeted for. Once I did eat, the granola bar first was the right call, carbs are what actually refill glycogen. Protein and fat came after to stabilize things. Lesson relearned: pack the snacks, every time, even for the “quick” outings. What’s your go-to grab-and-go snack for adventures? Tell me below. *photo from another paddling adventure, I wish the lake was this calm.

Just a little fun for the feed 💛

The rule: whatever word you see first is the food your body’s asking for right now. No overthinking it, just scan and trust the first hit.

Screenshot your word and drop it in the comments. Curious what everyone finds.

Some of my favorite things lately have nothing to do with being good at them.

I started this practice a few years back. Try one new thing a year, purely because it sounds fun, not because I need to master it. Mountain biking. Via ferrata. XC skiing (still recovering). Paddleboarding. A hike to a backcountry hut. I’m a rookie at all of it, and that’s never once been the point.

Turns out I’m not the only one thinking about this. So Joy, Just Because is starting. A space to practice bringing whimsy back, whatever that looks like for you. No agenda. No productivity. Just joy, for its own reason.

Comment JOY and I’ll add you to the list. 💛
