One of the things I’m most proud of about our program is the amount of support my students receive.
Foot care is a hands-on skill, and every nurse comes into training with different experience, strengths and areas where they need a little more guidance. That’s why our students receive one-on-one clinical training, individualized mentoring and ongoing support based on what they need to become competent and confident.
You aren’t just working your way through a course and hoping you feel ready at the end.
I work closely with each student throughout their training, answer the random questions that inevitably come up, troubleshoot skills with them, and help them bridge the gap between learning foot care and actually being ready to provide it independently.
Our training is also designed to be flexible around nurses’ schedules, with year-round registration rather than waiting for one specific intake date.
My goal has always been pretty simple: when you finish your training, I want you to feel Prepared to provide safe, current, evidence-informed foot care, to educate others— and to have the guidance you need whether your goal is to build your own practice or integrate into an established practice afterward.
If you were planning to train in foot care this fall and are now looking at your options, feel free to reach out to me directly or visit longevityservices.ca to learn more.
There may have been a change of plans, but you definitely don’t have to put your foot care education on hold. 😉
