7 UNIVERSAL LAWS I STILL RETURN TO ❤️
Many years ago, when I first discovered the Universal Laws, I remember being completely fascinated.
I had my head in books constantly back then.
I wanted to understand energy, consciousness, human behaviour, spirituality, why certain patterns repeated throughout our lives, and why some things I was experiencing seemed to have no language around them.
Learning about the Universal Laws gave me a framework for so much of what I was beginning to understand intuitively.
And although my understanding of them has deepened enormously over the years — through my own life, the work I have done with thousands of people, and everything I have come to understand about the nervous system, energy and human transformation — I still find myself returning to their simplicity.
So after yesterday's post about energy, light codes and what many of us are sensing and experiencing at the moment, I thought today might be a beautiful time to come back to some of the foundations.
There are many Universal Laws and different teachings describe and name them in different ways, but these are seven I have returned to again and again.
1. THE LAW OF DIVINE ONENESS
Everything is connected.
What we think, say, do and contribute doesn't exist entirely in isolation. We affect one another.
For me, this law has become less about everybody thinking or believing the same thing and much more about remembering our shared humanity.
We can be different and still remain connected.
We saw such a beautiful example of that here recently when thousands of people from around the world came together in prayer for Nepal.
Different countries. Different lives. One shared intention.
For you, for me, and humanity. ❤️
2. THE LAW OF VIBRATION
Everything is in movement.
Our bodies, emotions, thoughts, sound, light and the natural world all exist in states of movement and energy.
This was obviously one of the principles that fascinated me enormously when Raising Vibrations began.
But today I understand “raising our vibration” very differently.
It isn't about being positive all the time.
It isn't about denying grief, anger, fear or our humanity.
For me, it is increasingly about congruence — bringing what we think, feel, say and live into greater alignment.
There is a quote often attributed to Nikola Tesla:
“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”
Whether or not those exact words originated with Tesla, the idea has certainly invited generations of people to think differently about energy.
3. THE LAW OF ACTION
Intention matters.
But so does movement.
We can visualise, pray, journal, manifest and ask for guidance — but at some point we also have to participate in the life we are asking to create.
Send the email.
Have the conversation.
Take the opportunity.
Create the thing.
Make the decision.
Sometimes the next doorway doesn't appear until we begin walking toward it.
4. THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT
Our choices create consequences.
How we speak, how we behave, what we repeatedly practise, what we tolerate, what we nurture and what we contribute all have effects — within ourselves, our relationships and the world around us.
I don't believe this means that everything painful that happens to us is something we have somehow “attracted.”
Life is far more complex and human than that.
But I do believe that what we choose to do with what life gives us matters.
We are always participating in what comes next.
5. THE LAW OF ABUNDANCE
Look at nature.
Growth. Seeds. Oceans. Trees. Seasons. Regeneration.
Nature has always reminded me that life itself continually creates.
Abundance, to me, isn't simply about money.
It's our capacity to receive love, opportunity, support, beauty, creativity, connection, ideas, nourishment and life itself.
Sometimes abundance begins by noticing how much is already here.
6. THE LAW OF ATTRACTION
This is probably the Universal Law most people have heard about.
Over the years, though, my relationship with it has matured.
I don't believe we need to police every thought or fear that a difficult emotion is going to “manifest” something terrible.
What I do believe is that what we consistently orient ourselves toward influences what we notice, what we choose, what we pursue and what we become available for.
Our beliefs matter.
Our energy matters.
Our actions matter.
And so does our capacity to receive what we say we desire.
7. THE LAW OF RELATIVITY
We all experience life through our own lens.
Our history, beliefs, experiences, nervous system, awareness and level of consciousness influence how we interpret what happens around us.
Two people can experience the same situation and understand it completely differently.
Learning this helped me stop needing everybody to see life exactly as I did.
We can honour another person's experience without abandoning our own.
And sometimes perspective reminds us that what feels enormous today is only one part of a much larger life.
❤️
All these years later, perhaps the greatest thing the Universal Laws have taught me is that we are not separate from the life we are creating.
We are participants in it.
Through our awareness.
Our choices.
Our energy.
Our actions.
Our relationships.
Our willingness to grow.
And our willingness to remain connected to something greater than ourselves.
The language I use today may be different from the language I used when I first studied these teachings.
My understanding has certainly deepened.
But I still love returning to the foundations.
Sometimes the simplest teachings are the ones we need to remember again and again.
Which of these seven Universal Laws has been most significant in your own life?
I'd love to hear. ❤️
For you, for me, and humanity.
Loving you
