🖤 COMMUNITY SUPPORT FUNDRAISER NOW LIVE 🖤
Our Zeffy mutual aid campaign for James, Tshanna, and their family is now officially live through Alberta Witches Association and our Sponsor a Witch community support initiative.
Over the last 2 hours, we have watched our community begin showing up immediately with prayers, messages, shares, and direct financial support. Before this fundraiser was even launched publicly, donations had already begun arriving through our private community spaces.

For those just learning of the situation, James was involved in a devastating accident on May 12 that resulted in a fractured spine and traumatic brain injury requiring emergency surgery.
At this time, James remains in an induced coma while doctors work to reduce swelling in his brain and give his body the best possible chance to heal.
James is a firefighter, military serviceman, father, husband, and one of the quiet logistical pillars behind Witchstock. Alongside Shawn, Joshua, Andy, Merlin, Gary, and the rest of the crew, he has helped build, haul, protect, secure, troubleshoot, and hold together the spaces that allow our community to gather safely year after year.
James and Tshanna were handfasted at Witchstock V, their union blessed on sacred land by Lady Mary Malinski of the Aquarian Tabernacle Church of Canada. Their children have grown within this community too, woven deeply into the spirit of the village we have built together.
Tshanna herself serves as Treasurer for Alberta Witches Association and has long been a source of compassion, leadership, and support within our circles — particularly for those navigating grief and child loss after surviving the tragic loss of her infant son, Ledger, years ago.
This family has given so much of themselves to community.
Now it is our turn to hold them.
While there is also a larger public GoFundMe circulating, many within our direct community expressed wanting a trusted and familiar way to contribute through AWA’s Sponsor a Witch mutual aid initiative.
Our immediate goal is to help ease the burden of:
🖤 groceries and household costs
🖤 childcare and family support
🖤 transportation and medical-related expenses
🖤 creating space for Tshanna and the children to focus fully on James and his healing
