Last night during a sound bath meditation, Kuan Yin came to me. I had never had visions of her before. Of course I googled the significance and it makes sense at this moment in life. In a sound bath, the brain drops into deeply receptive alpha and theta wave states where your rational guards are down, allowing deep soul imagery to surface naturally.
Here is what her unexpected appearance in a sound bath might mean specifically for you right now:

🌊 1. A Cosmic “Somatic Release”

Sound healing vibrates the physical and emotional body, often loosening stuck energy, grief, or unexpressed emotions. Kuan Yin’s presence means that whatever was shaken loose during that sound bath was met with absolute safety, unconditional love, and non-judgment. She appeared as a container to safely hold your vulnerability.

💖 2. A Call to Soften and Surrender

If you have been operating in a state of high stress, hyper-vigilance, or intense “doing” mode, Kuan Yin arrives as the ultimate embodiment of Yin energy (passive, receptive, intuitive, flowing). Her presence is a gentle cosmic reminder that you do not have to fight so hard. You are allowed to soften, receive, and rest.

👂 3. “Hearing the Cries” of Your Own Heart

Because Kuan Yin’s core meaning is “She who hears the cries of the world,” her appearance implies that you are finally listening to yourself. The frequencies of the sound bath may have aligned your awareness with a deep, quiet truth inside you that has been waiting to be acknowledged and held with compassion 🪷

Having been diagnosed with ADHD and some mental health issues a few months ago, it has me researching a lot so that I can learn about myself. Throw in menopause fibromyalgia, and a couple physical issues, it explains how I’ve been feeling. They all compound into each other and it’s a lot to take. I’m so grateful that I finally found a new doctor that listens and takes what I say and feel seriously. 💖With help, I’m learning to do things one at a time. I do need to learn how to take breaks and realize that resting is what my mind and body need. It’s so hard!! 😩 I’m making it part of my purpose now, to share my journey in finding what works well for me. As always, I share in the hopes that others can learn as well. Welcome to this what-a-doodle ride!!! 😜 💞.

What a day! Zoom call right at 7:30 for an energy & chakra alignment, work, class, then a lovely gathering of women for sound healing and journaling. I am so grateful to the likeminded women being brought into my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏 ☺️💖

When I first saw this carving many years ago, I was extremely drawn to it and knew I had to have it.
Tonight as I’m moving things around, I thought ‘let me google the meaning of this Weeping Buddha’.

1. Absorbing the World's Pain & Grief
The most common spiritual interpretation is that the Weeping Buddha curls into this position to absorb the grief, sorrow, and suffering of humanity. In spiritual practice, rubbing the curved back of the statue is believed to pass your worries, fears, and internal turmoil to him, freeing your spirit to live with peace and joy.
2. Boundless Compassion & Empathy
Rather than depicting weakness, the posture represents profound empathetic awareness and active compassion. He weeps not out of personal defeat, but out of total devotion to taking on the weight of human suffering.
3. Deep Introspection & Self-Reflection
The crouched, head-in-hands posture represents turning inward to reflect on the nature of the mind and soul. It serves as a reminder to pause, look within, and cultivate self-awareness and humility in meditation.
4. The Legend of the Warrior Father
According to popular folklore, a warrior Buddha mistakenly fought and killed his own son in battle, as both wore masks and did not recognize each other. Overcome with grief upon realizing what he had done, he dropped to the ground and buried his head in his hands—a tale symbolizing the devastating consequences of conflict, ignorance, and anger.
5. Multi-View Symbolism (Orang Malu Tradition)
In Javanese wood-carving traditions, this sculpture is known as Orang Malu ("shy man") and features hidden symbolic dimensions depending on the viewing angle:
Back View: The smooth contour of the back resembles a human heart, representing vital energy and love.
Side View: The tucked arms and legs resemble a fetus, symbolizing rebirth, purity, and new beginnings.
Top/Front View: The top of the head subtly echoes the shape of a smiling face, indicating that inner peace lies behind processed grief.

This makes so much sense as to why I was drawn to it. I’ll keep it on my altar and invite him in to my collective healings. ☺️

Amazing night with some lovely ladies last night at the Vogue! Gabrielle Bernstein offered insights, ah ha moments and had us crying at the end. Such an inspiring speaker. I’ll have to delve into more of her books. ❤️

Put this prompt into ChatGPT and get your own tarot card. How fun! 🪷. Create a tarot card based off of what you know about me in the classic Rider-Waite style. Style me in a hand-drawn figure using bold but imperfect black ink linework with wobble and variation, flat colors with no shading. Layer subtle tarot visual elements around the figure. Add paper texture and print feel.
