At , our commitment to preserving and strengthening Anishinabek culture is at the centre of who we are. Culture is woven into every decision we make and how we deliver care to the communities we serve.
Yesterday, August 19th, our team participated in cultural training at the Mississauga First Nation Pow-Wow Grounds, which reinforced the importance of carrying this responsibility forward. This is an ongoing journey that calls on us to listen, learn and reflect as we deepen our understanding of Anishinabek knowledge and teachings.
MNSCHS is committed to building on this work by researching our archives and learning from our Elders and Knowledge Keepers. This will help ensure the teachings reflected in our work are accurate, respectful and grounded in the knowledge of our people.
Miigwech, to our amazing Human Resources team for putting the event together and to Lisa, Lee, Carol, Patricia, and Cynthia for guiding these important teachings.
Miigwech, to our team for showing up and engaging. It reflects your commitment to learning and helps ensure Anishinabek culture remains a living and foundational part of our organization.
