Its been way too long since we gathered. At one point, my dear friend Kailee - Kamali Siri Kaur and I were offering these ceremonies every month but life lifed and with travel and kids and everything else that life has brought our way we had to pause. And then Kailee moved.
For a long time I couldnt imagine doing these without her... and I am still convinced we can get her back for the winter Solstice šŸ˜‰
But I am feeling this wave again... to be back in circle. I miss all of you so much. I miss doing this work together.
And luckily I have the most incredible bestie with the biggest heart to co-create this next evolution with Megan Linford

And so it is. Its time!

This ceremony is really special to me. And I want to give thanks to everyone who has supported me and continued to walk alongside me all these years. And as an offer of my gratitude we decided to make this ceremony half off what it normally is because we truly want it to feel accessible.

We truly just miss you and hope you can make it.

Shame is hard to sit with. Im not a shame researcher like the beloved Brene Brown but I am a human... so I know a little something about it šŸ˜‰

Ive heard that shame dies when shared in safe spaces. And my therapist says that the antidote to shame is empathy. So the theory goes that when we speak our shame in safe spaces and receive empathy, the shame moves.

So what happens when we think we are sharing these moments with safe people but instead... you receive judgment instead of empathy and these tender pieces are weaponinized instead?

Oof.

So then we feel even more shame. We reinforce that we aren't lovable. We dont deserve empathy. We should be shamed. And punished. And rejected. We deserve it all.

But that's not the truth.

The truth is that feeling shame IS the punishment. Feeling the truth of our actions and the hurt they have caused is enough. Its actually everything.

Feeling is the antidote. Feeling is medicine.

I continue to feel my way in and through.

One humbling breath at a time.

And I see all of you walking alongside me.

Its never too late. We all deserve redemption.

And we all deserve loving kindness.

May you be loving.
May you be kind.
May you be free of all suffering.
May you be fulfilled.

Worthiness. The feeling of desiring. Allowing myself to receive help and support.

This has been the portal I have been pulled into this year.

The deeper I step into my purpose and offer my help and support to others, the deeper I am called to go inwards. To continue to do my own work.

Its hard work. Humbling work. Necessary work.

It can be scary to have a dream like mine. And to share the collective vision of a new Earth. Of healed humans, free of suffering... happy, healthy and whole.

And knowing the way to get there is by being here. Not bypassing. But by deeply feeling... meeting each moment as it is... and having the courage and capacity to stay.

And then practically, being a parent to two teenagers, running two businesses, tending to the land, being a partner, a friend, a sister, a daughter... Holy hannah!

And making time for food prep and workouts amd meditating and breathwork and journalling and a million grams of daily protein and dont forget the 10k daily steps...

It is a lot. And there are many days I want to quit. As though thats an actual option...

I havent been perfect. I have made so many mistakes along the way. Things I wish I hadn't said or done. Things I wish I had said and had done.

Sometimes the voice telling me that those mistakes makes me unworthy of my dreams, of happiness, of joy, of rest... wins. Some days that voice convinces me that my imperfections are too much. And that Im somehow also not enough. My inner critic and judge are often ready to pounce. And they prey on every misstep.
But I keep going. I keep showing up.

And that can be really hard when you are in the "healing/wellness" spaces in particular. Because you are expected to be healed and well all the time. But what we need is realness. We need humanness. Permission to f**k up and keep going.

We need grace.

I have recommited myself to this path again and again. And so here I am once more. Getting up. Continuing to walk.

If you are feeling extra human, you are not alone.

Lets go for a walk.

Because as Ram Dass said... we really are just walking each other home.

Im so tired of typical "wellness" culture and the "do more" mentality. I see retreats all the time with jam-packed schedules and promises of life-changing, transformational experiences.

Can retreats be life-changing and transformational? Of course.

But is it because of that special waterfall that we guided you to or is it because of the people you walked to the waterfall with?
Was it that you were off your phone and connecting to nature, new friends, and yourself?
Most likely.

Because we can explore magical places, take you on once-in-a-lifetime excursions and get you Instagram photos that will make everyone back home jealous... (thats actually the easy part).

But the real magic of retreats come in between the "special" events. The unplanned moments.

Its good food shared with good people.
Long talks at the fire where you finally give voice to parts of yourself that have been quiet for far too long.
Its ALLLLLLLL the laughter. So. Many. Laughs.

Those are the things that heal us. Its each other. Its real connection. Its feeling seen and heard. Its slowing down and making time for what really matters.

This is what we are calling in for the final 4 spots to Portugal. Humans who want to spend quality time with other humans. Who want to laugh and play and feel alive. Who understand that healing comes when we drop the masks and allow ourselves to simply be.

Is the location beautiful? Yes. Do we have a private chef catering the retreat? Also yes. Yoga and breathwork? Naturally. Boat tours and beaches and time to explore? Obviously.

But I want to be really clear... this isnt an ultra-spiritual retreat. Its a grounded group of humans gathering together to have an adventure.

You in? DM for details or comment HUMAN and Ill send you all the info.

An open letter from Jennilee at WelcomeOm Studio:

It is with a very humbled heart that I share I have stepped back from Restival: A Common Thread. This decision did not come easily. Over the last month I have been recovering from an emergency surgery, followed by some very difficult news, and then more difficult news. The compounding events have taken a toll on my mental health and as someone who holds integrity and safety as deep values, it no longer felt possible for me to co-lead this event. Being a leader in these spaces sometimes means making difficult decisions. It sometimes means choosing yourself. If you know me personally, this is not something that comes easily. For me... it was finally sharing that I am not ok. I will be taking the next few months off to rest and recover so I can better serve our community in the future. I am sorry that I wont be there and apologize to those affected by this decision.

Trista and Gillian .ca will be continuing to steward our vision and creating an incredible Restival for all of those ready to rest, explore, play, and heal together. I appreciate their grace, kindness and support so much. They are truly gifts to our community and I know you are in the best hands.

I love you all and wish you the most magical weekend weaving with our like-hearted women.

Blessings
Jennilee

I had a watered down version of this post written over a week ago... but couldnt find the strength to post it. I am so sick of watering things down, making my story more comfortable... easier to swallow.

Some things should be hard to digest.

They are meant to be uncomfortable. There is an inherent intelligence to that. I am reclaiming disgust.

What happened is disgusting. And Im starting to name it.

Im speaking about consent.

There was a time when I thought consent was simple.

Ask the question.
Get the yes.
Move forward.

Give the yes.
Move on.

But the truth is…
a yes is not always a yes.

If you need to convince someone, its not consent.

If they freeze, go quiet, or disconnect... thats not a yes.

"We owe you an apology" isnt an apology

You failed. Not in a small way. But in a real way.

Your actions have consequences. They arent making ripples... they are making tsunamis.

The water is crashing. Towns are being swept apart.

Death. Destruction. Devastation.

But thank you for your apology. That wasn't an apology.

Ill leave it at the door of the room that has yet to open.

Ill whisper your good intentions and heart-felt condolences through the crack of the doorframe of the forgotten child.

Or did you forget that this was for her? That there was someone you vowed to protect behind the door that thought you were finally going to help.

How naive she was to think that the system that was built to destroy her had made a right-turn towards safety?

The system isnt broken... "its working perfectly to protect those who built it"

Maybe the door is better left locked.

This work can be beautiful and connective and reparative.
And there are also other parts of this work that I have seen and heard (and at times participated in).

Breathwork opens the body.
It softens our defenses.
It brings people into vulnerable and often altered states of consciousness.

And that means we carry responsibility as faciliators.

This isnt just about guided a session.
Knowing a script.
Its understand the nervous system.
Recognizing trauma responses.
Working with power, with integrity.
Meeting our own shadow so we dont protect ot onto others.

THIS is harm reduction.
These are the deeper layers of the work.

If you are feeling drawn to peel back the layers and hold space in a way that feels more anchored and honest, I would love to walk alongside you in that process.

The next in-person training starts April 21-June 23 with a full weekend immersion on July 11 and 12.

This retreat began in a vision.

It was a seed planted in a ceremony and bravely spoken out loud. I watched my friend Alex open his heart and share his dream with me.

It is vulnerable to share our visions. To want something. To step into our power. To crack open to possibility. To dare to dream...

This wasn't about business. It was about a feeling. A deep desire to share his home with others. To bring people to Portugal so they could be held by the cliff's edge and rocked back into remembrance by the rhythm of the waves.

Salt air.
An intimate group.
Breathing. Being. Becoming. Together.

I couldn't be more honored to hold with vision alongside my friend and share in this dream together.

There is something my dear medicine sister and I have been building slowly.

Not loudly. Not urgently. But with intention and care.

What began as a dream, continued to work through us. Initiating us. Requiring us to listen deeply, trust its unfolding, and continually become humbled by it.

And today, we are openingĀ The Container: An 8-Month Held Heroine’s Journey.

This is not a program we created quickly. It is a beautiful blooming of our own work. The seeds we tended before knowing what would grow from there. It began in our sisterhood. The way we chose to show up for one another and to support each other in their own work. Where the contained ceremony blurs and merges with the ceremony of life.

And we have been honored to hold others in this process. To witness, listen, and be with all that is. Healing and transformation require tending, spaciousness, and time.

This embodied knowing became the seed forĀ The Container.Ā The Container is eight months ofĀ preparation,Ā ceremony, andĀ integration.

This is aĀ Held Heroine’s Journey. Rather than rushing toward a singular ā€œpeakā€ ceremony experience, the Heroine’s Journey invitesĀ inscendence: a gradual turning inward toward what is ready to be met.

We begin with four months of preparation. We move into a held retreat space. And we remain together for four months of integration.

This is not about chasing peak experiences.

It is about pacing.
It is about sovereignty.
It is about learning how to live what is remembered.

If you have been waiting for something that feels grounded and ethical...
If you are not looking for intensity, but for depth...
If you feel the quiet kind of yes...

The doors to The Container are now open.

Earlybird pricing is in effect until Feb 27.
