The unhurried way.

You are allowed to slow down. Practice meets you where you are.

Move at your pace, steady and rooted in lineage. In self-practice there is no one to keep up with.

There is an opportunity to come, listen, and allow what arises. Over time, the practice shapes you, and a community is cultivated around you.

Come, be held. Mornings and evenings in downtown Squamish. New students always welcome. Link in bio to begin.

Practice shapes us.

In a Mysore room, no one leads from the front. The teacher makes contact and guides you in silence, one breath at a time.
Come slow down, be guided, and be held by a community rooted in lineage.

No experience needed.

Come as you are.

Each month, Satsanga offers a space to connect and share more deeply.

Begin with two weeks of unlimited practice.

Slow down as an act of presence. And in that presence, offer what you do to those you love, or to something bigger. Sweeping the floor for the third time. The fifth Surya Namaskar. Especially those ones.

We don’t need to gather all our energy to make the biggest impact. We only need to point it somewhere loving, and trust what happens next.

What we do, we do openhearted. A life where devotion is the thread, woven quietly through the ordinary, one small offering at a time.

Practice is made of the raw, ordinary, everyday actions we choose, knowingly or not, to repeat each day. Over time, they quietly shape who we are.

A single moment of noticing is enough to begin. With attention and care, every word, thought, and action can become sacred.

Yoga begins with listening to what is, a gentle act of meeting and navigating the opposites. Come practice with us as you are. 🤍

Meet Carla

“Yoga is available to everyone, exactly as they are. You just need a willingness to breathe.”

Carla found Ashtanga two years ago, and she embodies commitment, dedication, and community care. Her practice, and all she shares, is rooted in trust: in the body, in the breath, and in the people around her. She teaches from that same place, offering every student attention and a sense of safety and belonging.

You’ll find her in the quiet of the morning Mysore room, in guided classes, and on Wednesday afternoons with our youngest yogis.

Off the mat, she’s somewhere outside, on a trail, a riverbank, or in the garden.

Welcome, Carla.

Come practice with us — breath, posture, and gaze woven into one steady thread.

Become a member of Ashtanga Yoga Squamish, and find your place in a community rooted in parampara, teacher to student, held in the traditional Ashtanga lineage.

Beyond the mat, our monthly Satsanga is a doorway into reflection and connection, a gathering where we sit together, study the deeper layers of this practice, and share chai. One on one holistic coaching is here too, for those wanting more personal support along the way.

We would love to have you 🤍

Ashtanga is a way in — a practice of coming back home to the body. Back to the breath. Back to ourselves, again and again, slowly and quietly, until something starts to settle.

This is what we offer at the shala: a space to cultivate deep listening, self study, and to be held by community.

We offer one on one guidance within our group classes.

We offer a monthly Foundations Workshop.

If you’ve been wondering whether this practice is for you — reach out, come try it out. 📸 Carlos

In Mysore-style practice, we learn this system individually, within a group. We move slowly. We sync breath with movement, and listen to how the body organizes itself. We return — small shifts happen. We keep listening. The body reorganizes. The mind does too. Slow and steady. The magic is in the repetition. We learn to notice the subtleties — how time passes, how we age, how our own nature changes, and the nature around us. It is a mirror. What is it that remains? It is an invitation inward.

Guided Classes 🤍 September brings some updates to our guided classes, in person and online.

Friday mornings return at 7am with a half Primary guided class, and Wednesday evenings continue as usual, at 5:30pm — both now available online as well, so you can join from wherever you are.

If you’re able to attend twice a week, a membership is the better value. For a more flexible practice, drop-in remains an option.

Sign up now to hold your spot for September. 📸 Carlos 🙌
