Staying up to date on recommended vaccines is an essential part of maintaining health at every stage of life, including adulthood. This is especially important for people living with chronic conditions.

🫁Vaccines can play a key role in protecting respiratory health, including vaccines against influenza, COVID-19, pneumococcal disease, pertussis (whooping cough), and RSV (respiratory syncytial virus).

🧑‍⚕️Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about which vaccines are recommended for you.

Immunize Canada offers resources to help identify and record recommended vaccinations and to also manage pain while getting shots. Immunize Canada is a credible source, following the recommendations of the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI). Their website content was last updated in April of 2026 and can be accessed at https://immunize.ca/adults

Today is World No To***co Day.

To***co companies are targeting young people whose brains are vulnerable to ni****ne addiction.
And va**ng can harm more than you think:
🧠 Ni****ne is highly addictive and impairs brain development in individuals under the age of 25
☠️ V**e aerosols contains toxic substances
🫁 Va**ng increases risk of lung disorders
❤️ Va**ng increases risk of cardiovascular disease

For more information and resources on youth va**ng prevention, visit: www.truthaboutva**ng.ca (from the NL Alliance for the Control of To***co) -- All programs are locally developed and delivered here in NL.
