MooFAT A1 Active is our minimum 85% C16:0 (palmitic acid) high energy supplement micro-prill for lactating dairy cows. In addition to palmitic acid, it also contains a minimum of 5% C18:0 (stearic acid) as well as a minimum of 4% C18:1 (oleic acid).

While palmitic has an application as an energy dense supplement in offsetting negative energy balance during the early lactation period, oleic and linoleic serve a role in body condition improvement and increasing dry matter intake (DMI), respectively, among other benefits.
