🚨 We've had an ALARMING amount of people who have come to us recently saying that they have to RETAKE a First Aid & CPR course because the online one they completed WAS NOT VALID.

🦺 Workplace Health & Safety ALWAYS requires in-class skills to be completed and evaluated to be a valid, accredited course. Upon successful completion of a written & skills evaluation, a participant is awarded a certificate from an accredited organization.

✨️ The courses offered through Victory Training Centre are ALL accredited from Canadian Red Cross or Heart & Stroke Foundation. ANY accredited organization will be able to provide you with proper documentation to prove that they are accredited - it is NOT a secret, so don't just take their word for it, have them provide that proof.

🚨 𝗕𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 “𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿”! 💨

🔺️ Carbon monoxide (CO) gets its nickname 👆 for a reason. It’s odourless, colourless, and tasteless, making it impossible to detect with your senses.

🔺️ CO poisoning is more common than many realize. Every year, hundreds of Canadians are affected. Here’s what to do if you suspect it:

➡️ 𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁, and his or her ABCs are unaffected: call your local Poison Control Centre.

➡️ 𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: call EMS/9-1-1 and get an AED.

➡️ 𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: start CPR using a barrier device so that you don’t contaminate yourself.
